The Adjective Check List was administered to 7 male and 5 female samples comprising 1,701 Ss. Direct or inferred ratings of creativity were available for all Ss. The samples covered a wide range of ...ages and kinds of work; criteria of creativity were also varied, including ratings by expert judges, faculty members, personality assessment staff observers, and life history interviewers. The creativity scales of G. Domino (1974) and C. E. Schaefer (1972, 1973) were scored on all protocols, as were G. S. Welsh's (1975) A-1, A-2, A-3, and A-4 scales for different combinations of "origence" and "intelligence." From item analyses a new 30-item Creative Personality Scale was developed that was positively and significantly related to all 6 of the prior measures but that surpassed them in its correlations with the criterion evaluations. A check list of whiteflies in Croatia is presented, with a list of references and the results by authors from the period 2005-2007, performed for the first time in Croatia (IMALA, 2008). In the ...reference list, 10 species have been described. 31 different whitefly species were identified by our own faunistic investigations, 21 of which are new for the Croatian fauna. These are the following species: Aleurochiton acerinus Haupt, 1934; Aleurochiton pseudoplatani Visnya, 1936; Aleuroclava hikosanensis Takahashi, 1938; Aleuroclava jasmini Takahashi, 1932; Aleurolobus wunni Ryberg, 1938; Aleurotuba jelinekii Frauenfeld, 1867; Aleuroviggianus adrianae Iaccarino, 1982; Aleyrodes asari Schrank, 1801; Aleyrodes elevatus Silvestri, 1934; Aleyrodes lonicerae Walker, 1852; Asterobemisia carpini Koch, 1857; Asterobemisia obenbergeri Zahradnik, 1961; Asterobemisia paveli Zahradnik, 1961; Bemisia afer Priesner & Hosny, 1934; Massilieurodes chittendeni Laing, 1928; Massilieurodes setiger Goux, 1939; Neopealius rubi Takahashi, 1954; Simplaleurodes hemisphaerica Goux, 1945; Siphoninus immaculatus Heeger, 1856; Tetraleurodes hederae Goux, 1939 and Tetralicia ericae Harrison, 1917. The check list contains 31 whitefly species from a single subfamily, Aleyrodinae, categorised in 18 genera.
Infection Control Team (ICT) rounds including health care professionals including infection control physician, nurse, pharmacist and microbiological technologist are necessary to assess the problems ...of nosocomial infection control. Eighty ICT rounds using check lists were performed every week from July 2010 to December 2011 in our university hospital and 1557 important areas were identified. The most frequently identified areas were washing or sterilization of medical tools (17.1%), followed by insufficienct standard precautions (16.6%), needle stabbing precautions (13.4%), contact precautions (10.5%), or safekeeping of medical equipment (10.3%). ICT rounds can identify solutions to many problems with nosocomial infection control and suggest improvements for on-site workers or hospital management.
【Purpose】This study aims to investigate the involvement and support of yogo teachers of children with trichotillomania in terms of secondary prevention of this disorder in school mental health ...programs.【Methods】The informants consisted of 140 yogo teachers who were randomly selected from elementary, junior high, and high schools in Tokyo. Questionnaires were used to determine if they had been involved in any hair-pulling cases and the signs, details of their involvement, and changes in hair-pulling instances after their involvement. In addition, the emotional behavioral characteristics of the children with trichotillomania were determined by using the Child Behavior Check-list: Teacher’s Report Form (TRF).【Results】The participants consisted of 68 children (21 boys, 46 girls, and 1 blank) with an average age of 11.7 years old. Approximately 80% of the children fell under one of two categories on the TRF: the border level or the clinical level. From an emotional behavioral perspective, it was clear that children with trichotillomania were more unstable than other children of the same age, and the majority of those suffering from the disorder did not initiate spontaneous counseling. However, more than 70% of them showed considerable improvement through the involvement of the yogo teachers. The results show that the order of participation in class teachers and parents is a predictive factor regarding such improvement.【Discussion/Conclusion】On the basis of the findings, for early detection of trichotillomania in students, it is important that not only yogo teachers but all school teachers need to heighten their attention and awareness of this issue. In addition, trichotillomania often leads to more serious issues in which specialized mental health support becomes necessary. This suggests that it is important to cooperate with parents through class teachers to quickly improve and positively affect those suffering from trichotillomania.
Purpose The purpose of this study was to clarify environmental conditions determining the social activities of the elderly, by analyzing levels of activity in individuals belonging to clubs for ...senior citizens. Methods In 1998, we conducted a surver of over 10,000 elderly subjects, 65 years of age or older, who belonged to 228 clubs for senior citizens in a region of Saitama Prefecture, using a ‘Check list’ developed for self-evaluation of social activities. The proportions of ‘active’ and ‘inactive’ seniors, as judged by the ‘Check list’ for each of the four different aspects of social activities (1. individual activities, 2. social participation/volunteering, 3. education/training, 4. employment), were compared with those of the standard elderly population. Results Two hundred and seven clubs for senior citizens (90.8%) participated in this study. About 82.0% of the members of each club filled out the ‘Check list’. High levels as compared to the standard population were demonstrated for two aspects of social activity: individual activity and social participation/volunteering. Women had higher levels of both types of social activity than men. Men aged 74 years or younger had lower than average levels for three aspects of social activity: social participation/volunteering, education/training, and employment. Members who resided in urban areas with easy access had higher levels of individual activity, social participation/volunteering and education/training. On the other hand, those residing in suburbs with large spaces for agriculture had higher levels for employment. Conclusion Our results for social activities of elderly subjects belonging to clubs for senior citizens indicate that strong correlations exist with environmental conditions, including communication facilities and local or industrial structure.

Recently, the power system equipped in elevator contains motor and gear reducer to get large output torque. In general, the motor and gear reducer are designed and manufactured separately. Its chief ...advantage is the reducing complexity of the related design process. However, the power system would constitute a variety of problems such as larger amount of components, heavy weight, longer power-path, and large installation space. The purpose of this paper is to present new design concept which integrates motor and gear reducer into one single device and named as "gear-motor". This concept has advantages: 1. less friction loss and higher overall efficiency, 2. smaller volume, less weight, and less axial space, and 3. better dynamic characteristic, less vibration, and less noise. First, according to the combining and eliminating methods of check list, we proposed four design concepts "gear-motor". Based on the concept of train value equation of the train circuit, the 2-stage planetary gear reducer and coupled type gear reducer are synthesized. Then, according to the latent power theorem, the meshing efficiencies of the corresponding gear reducers are analyzed to be 95.46% and 95.87%. Finally, the engineering design is accomplished to illustrate the design methodology. Based on the proposed methodology, all gear-motors can be synthesized.
