Este artigo discute o conceito de criatividade distribuída (CLARKE; DOFFMAN, 2017) e suas interseções com a teoria dos círculos colaborativos de Michael Farrell (2001), apresentando um exemplo de ...colaboração entre o Duo Sofia Leandro e Bruno Santos com o compositor Harry Crowl. São apresentados exemplos de aspectos decorrentes dos processos que levaram à tomada de decisões criativas desde a composição até à estreia do Concerto nº4, para violino e percussão, em forma de via-crucis sobre o nome de Marielle Franco, em novembro de 2019. Essa colaboração favoreceu a ampliação das interações sonoras entre o violino e os diferentes instrumentos de percussão, bem como do discurso simbólico inerente à forma da peça e à dedicatória. Os exemplos centram-se em questões relacionadas com a instrumentação, com a exploração de timbres e técnicas expandidas, com a gestão do tempo e com a configuração de palco.

The aim of this study is to investigate translation from the perspective of those who train and employ translators by analyzing the translator’s profile survey results that were collected between ...January 2014 and December 2014. 48 translation teachers from 21 universities and 117 translation industry representatives, mostly from Ukraine were asked about the importance of a set of competences required for a translator. Based on empirical evidence collected from the survey, this article attempts to evaluate the current state of the profession in Ukraine and to determine the ways of collaboration between translation business and universities. The authors detect sources of possible conflicts of interest and the factors that may resolve them.

In existing (evolutionary) explanations for group formation and -identification, the function of cultural conventions such as social etiquette and dress codes is limited to providing group-markers. ...Group formation and identification itself is explained in terms of less arbitrary and more substantial phenomena such as shared norms and institutions. In this paper I will argue that, however trivial and arbitrary, cultural conventions fulfil an important cognitive function that makes them essential to the formation of and identification with large groups. Complex role-division, both informal and institutional, is important in the functioning of any large group of people. Shared conventions enable a virtually automatic understanding of signals, scripts and rules that regulate the interaction of divided roles. They provide a cultural infrastructure within which we perceive e.g. specific behavior and clothing as a range of social-cultural affordances for role-interactions. Shared familiarity with this infrastructure is the foundation for the basic kind of trust of in-group strangers that is a requirement for the formation of large groups. This non-intellectualist view on group formation and group identification can contribute to new ways of dealing with problems in multicultural societies.
