Abstract The article performs an analysis of the concept of exile as it was defined by major figures of Romanian literature. From the writing of a “faceless man” to a destroyer of time, the ...self-image of the exiled writer goes through a scenario of disorder, chaos and refinding of the origins.

L’auteur explore les directions ouvertes par le rapport d’Abella, selon deux axes : l’une concerne la genèse des théories de chaque analyste, l’autre concerne l’évolution et les modalités de ...transformations des théories ainsi que la manière de communiquer des analystes entre eux. À propos de la genèse des théories de chaque analyste, sera abordée la question de l’attachement aux théories de l’enfance analytique, conduisant à l’interrogation sur les liens entre l’exil, la perte, le deuil et la construction d’une théorie. En ce qui concerne la façon dont les analystes échangent à propos de leurs théories, seront abordées la question de l’identification projective, de l’inséparabilité comme modèle de théorie implicite.

Die Hausarztpraxis ...bleibt angesichts des Mangels an spezialisierten Therapieplätzen oft die einzige Behandlungsstelle für traumatisierte Geflüchtete. Besonders herausfordernd ist die Kombination von komplexen Beschwerdebildern, mehrdimensionalen psychosozialen Belastungssituationen und erschwerten Behandlungsbedingungen, welche im dichten Praxisalltag betriebswirtschaftlichen und organisatorischen Grenzen gegenüberstehen. Im Artikel werden Empfehlungen für den Umgang mit dieser heterogenen Patientengruppe diskutiert.

Studying the dialogue between literature and philosophy in the Spanish exile in Latin America requires a historiographical effort, since the exile is framed in a historical before and after: in the ..."before" of its traditional context, that of the ideas belonging to the place of origin prior to exile. These ideas, capable of developing or changing in the "after" of the post-exile world (in this case, the Spanish-American world), give life to the poetic and philosophical works gestated in the land where the exiles found the protection and shelter of a new homeland: Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela. This book offers interdisciplinary elements to map the paths in which a group of authors whose life and work was marked, directly or indirectly, by the experience of exile cross: Max Aub, Luis Cernuda, José Gaos, Manuel García Morente, Juan Larrea , Eduardo Nicol, Alfonso Reyes, Josep Solanes and María Zambrano. The texts thematize the work, context, and influences of writers, poets, and philosophers who arrived in Latin America fleeing political persecution and the Civil War in Spain. Many of the exiles saw in the nation that welcomed them the opportunity for a new beginning, others, on the other hand, the place of eternal nostalgia and permanent mourning for their lost home. In all cases, this circumstance was reflected in the work of the exile authors discussed here, in their efforts to reinvent literature, philosophy or the relationship between the two, as well as in their contributions to the dissemination of these two disciplines in organs cultural institutions such as educational institutions, publishing houses and magazines.
The Polish-Jewish novelist, poet and translator Józef Wittlin (1896–1976), author of the classic Sól ziemi (1935, English Salt of the Earth, 1939), lived in Lwów (until 1918 Lemberg, today Lviv) for ...about 20 years until 1922. Thereafter, whether in Poland or from 1939 in exile first in France, then the United States, he cherished his memories of this architecturally distinguished and multiethnic city, publishing his memoir Mόj Lwów My Lwów with an exile press in New York in 1946 (English translation 2016). The article draws on archival documents from Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States and other published sources to give a history of the book’s conception and reception, above all in the exiled Polish diaspora, and makes a case for Mόj Lwów’s enduring significance as a work of imaginative reconstruction written in exile.
Inspired by the real-life experiences of Indonesian exiles, Leila S. Chudori's Pulang explores the journey of an exile of the New Order regime attempting to come to terms with the trauma of the 1965 ...tragedy, and the inherited trauma of his daughter, who returns to the country of her father’s birth amid political turmoil. This research focused on revealing the discourse of exile as a victim who transmits their trauma to a subsequent generation, as well as the position of gender in the formulation of transmission, affecting the identification of trauma inheritance. Hirsch’s postmemory perspective was employed to analyze the process of trauma inheritance, which was rarely found in Indonesian literary works, as were the historical descriptive, causality, and comparison methods. The trauma inheritance experienced by the first generation is the trauma of loss due to the 1965 tragedy, which was then passed down to a child. Familial transmission becomes the basis of trauma inheritance, strengthened by affiliate transmission, which was a work of authentication in Indonesia. Gender plays a role in the affectivity of transmission, wherein transmissions involving fathers (exiles) and daughters are just as trauma-creating triggers. It is noteworthy that affiliative transmission fosters intersubjectivity among non-exiled female characters who are closely connected to the first generation, thereby enhancing the inheritance of trauma more effectively than familial transmission. The first generation is exiled and identifies its trauma by remembering and bringing with it Indonesian features, in various forms. In contrast, the second generation does it more concretely by becoming a real Indonesian. These findings underpin how an exile's trauma stemming from the 1965 tragedy can be passed on to the second generation, through a transmission process, a journey back to Indonesia, and gender relevance. Pulang redefines an exile as a victim and as an effort for reconciliation.

This essay discusses the experience of the author's own family to examine how they struggled against the undertow of metaphor that shaped their experience of exile.
