The appearance of Dory, the forgetful blue tang fish, as the main character in Finding Dory (2016), one of Disney’s animated feature films, makes the film popular and has been nominated to 46 awards ...and won 16 awards. Previously, Dory was a helping character in the original film, Finding Nemo (2003). This study aimed to identify Dory’s characterizations by using textual analysis to find the uniqueness of Dory in the film. The analysis resulted in Dory’s paradoxical characterization where she was forgetful yet creative, reliant yet independent, and anxious yet confident. These paradoxes implied that this film portrays that negative characters can be developed into good characters. Therefore, this film can be used as media to develop characters in informal education.
The article studies the film A Tale of Filipino Violence (2022) by Filipino director Lav Diaz from the point of view of considering the anthropology of “difficult” places of memory and the ...representation of memory on the screen. The phenomenon of memory and its social functioning have been studied by the scientific community for several decades and are expressed in various forms of representation. One of such forms is filmmaking — fiction and documentary films. And while documentary cinema represents the memory of various social groups through the memories and judgments of direct participants in the events based on documentary evidence, fiction film usually presents a more complex structure, in which memory “breaks through” artistic images that are often fictional, but absorb echoes of time and events.

The purpose of the article is to summarise the main contexts and connotations of the use of myths, symbols and images in contemporary audiovisual products; to systematise the references to elements ...of the Ukrainian cultural code in the current national cultural and artistic environment; to analyse the correspondence between the interpretations of the symbols used in the video sequences of music videos and films and their original meanings. The research methodology is based on the use of the following methods: theoretical (acquaintance with the scientific and journalistic base of research on the use of images of Ukrainian folklore in contemporary art), empirical (collection of materials to determine the main categories of borrowing images in contemporary art) and analytical (determination of the feasibility and veracity of the interpretation of the primary meaning of the folklore image in the modern context). Scientific novelty. For the first time, the author describes the likely consequences of the indifferent attitude of the creators of the national audiovisual product to the primary meaning of the symbols of the traditional cultural stratum; and outlines the consequences of previous political attempts to destroy the specifically Ukrainian cultural code; identifies potential threats in the event of inaction and lack of progress in the field of audiovisual production (films, clips) for the development of future generations of conscious Ukrainians as citizens of an independent country with a clear understanding of belonging to a certain historical background. Conclusions. Quantitative and qualitative indicators allow us to confidently speak about the harmfulness of the paradigm of levelling the primary meanings of established images. The article summarises the main contexts and connotations of myths (from the positive in contemporary audiovisual art to the simplistic and negative in films of the 2010s). Having summarised the spheres of use and borrowing of vivid images in contemporary cinema, the author analyses the correspondence of modern interpretations of the symbols of Ukrainian mythology to their original meaning.
The relational antecedents of project-based enterprises have not yet received systematic investigation. These ventures are typically created by individual freelancers who are usually embedded in ...networks of collaborative relationships that convey the information and resources required to carry out new projects. Using a relational perspective of entrepreneurial discovery and team composition, we analyze the performance determinants of project-entrepreneurs, namely the individuals who are responsible for launching and carrying out those projects. We argue that project-entrepreneurs’ performance is related to their degree of centrality within the social network, and their familiarity with the selected project-team as captured by the distribution of ties among team members. We test our hypotheses within the Hollywood Film Industry over the period 1992–2003. The findings point to the existence of diminishing returns to centrality and performance benefits from assembling teams that combine old-timers and newcomers. The theoretical contributions and implications of the study are discussed.
Although cinema is moving towards art, it has dealt with the character since the beginning of the discovery of cinematic art in films such as (Doctor Caligari's cabin) and most German expressive ...films in the third decade of the twentieth century, but the interest of cinema is growing in the estranged human personality, meaning that this character It lives by its alienation from the environment and society that surrounds it, because our present days have witnessed on the material and moral level more social breakdowns such as wars and disasters, and the sharp contradiction in the social and economic level of people themselves or between different societies, or between the individual and his community, and new social relations have increased, And the control of technology over the walks of life makes a person jealous far away in his loneliness and isolation because he lacks the warmth of human relations, and the control of interests and matter in the collective behavior, so the expatriate personality has become a topic worth discussing and highlighting it, and cinema was and still deals with the expatriate personality widely, so the problem of research She, did you present the expatriate personal film treatments in convincing ways? As for the importance and need for research, it lies in the psychological aspects of the personality that are taken through the film, which include psychological studies, and that serve in the field of character identification, and this research can be a source of worship for filmmakers, in how the personality is alienated. The importance of this study in the cinematic field was discussed, and it contained the objectives that the researcher had set in mind and the limits within which the research works. In the theoretical framework, the researcher dealt with three topics, the first was: the real personality and the artistic personality, while the second topic lost the personality and the dramatic climax, and the third topic: the personality and alienation in the cinematic film, and the research procedures came including the following axes: The research method, which was the descriptive approach - a study The case, which is a straightforward approach, human studies, the research community, the research sample, the research tool, and the analysis unit. Then the film sample that was subjected to analysis was discussed according to the indications that were taken out of the theoretical framework, and these indicators were summarized in two main axes and the sample consisted of one film, which is: Film (When Nietzsche Cried) directed by (Pinjas Perry). The research concludes with research results, recommendations, sources and references.
