Modeliranje pokrajine ('Modelling landscape') is the fifteenth volume in the series GIS v Sloveniji (GIS in Slovenia). The goal of the volume is to present the wide variety of research findings on ...geographical information systems in Slovenia in recent years. Powerful geoinformatic tools and precise data facilitate research on processes and phenomena, and their modelling. The volume presents project outputs and research results in areas such as geology, geomorphology, hydrology, environmental protection, geography, surveying, archaeology, transport, telecommunication infrastructure, tourism, cultural heritage, remote sensing, and others. Readers will discover new features regarding the applicability of geographical information systems and will learn about interesting research findings in many areas.
Pokrajina v visoki ločljivosti ('The Landscape in High Resolution') is the fourteenth volume in the series GIS v Sloveniji (GIS in Slovenia). The goal of this volume is to present the wide variety of ...research findings on geographical information systems in Slovenia in recent years. Powerful geoinformatic tools and precise digital data facilitate research on processes and phenomena with a high level of accuracy. This makes it possible to affirm that the landscape and its components are being analyzed in high resolution. The volume clearly presents project outputs and research results in areas such as seismology, geomorphology, natural hazards, environmental protection, geography, surveying, archaeology, transport, agriculture, remote sensing, and others. Readers will discover new features regarding the applicability of geographical information systems and will learn about interesting findings in many area
V članku primerjamo dvodimezionalni (2D) in tridimenzionalni (3D) model usmerjanja šolskih vozil na primeru občine Laško z vidika dolžine prepeljanih kilometrov in porabljenega potovalnega časa.
Digitalni podatki ('Digital Data') is the thirteenth volume in the series GIS v Sloveniji (GIS in Slovenia). The goal of this volume is to present the wide variety of research findings on ...geographical information systems in Slovenia in recent years. Digital data is one of the main pillars of geographical information systems, and so this volume describes opportunities to put such data to use. Recently lidar scanning technology has increased the precision and diversity of analysis. The volume clearly presents project results and research in areas such as geography, hydrology, protection against natural disasters, archaeology, transport, settlement, remote sensing, and others. Readers will discover new features regarding GIS applicability and learn about interesting findings in these areas.
Transnational multilingual information platform Danube Compass, part of the DRIM project (Danube Region Information Platform for Economic Integration of Migrants) financed by the European Union's ...Danube Transnational Programme, was created with the aim to improve access to information for migrants in eight countries along the Danube river. What we have learned in the process is what this handbook is all about. Its aim is to support the creation of similar platforms in other regions and is intended for organizations and institutions involved in the integration of newly arrived migrants. It should be helpful for anyone who is thinking of gathering focused information about arriving, working and living in another country. It provides hands-on checklists and ideas about how to implement one’s own platform for supporting migrants’ integration on local or national level.
Digitalni prostor ('Digital Space') is the twelfth volume in the series GIS v Sloveniji (GIS in Slovenia). The goal of this volume is to present the wide variety of research findings on geographical ...information systems in Slovenia in recent years. Thanks to the development of technology and a wide selection of digital data, GIS users can explore digital space from several aspects. The volume clearly presents project results and research in areas such as geography, hydrology, protection against natural disasters, history, literary studies, regulation of traffic and mobility, agriculture, archaeology, remote sensing, and the energy industry. Readers will find new features regarding GIS applicability and learn about interesting findings in these areas.
This is the eleventh volume (‘Geographic information systems in Slovenia, 2011–2012’) in the collection, consisting of twenty-seven articles discussing the use of geographic information systems in ...geography, geodesy, cartography, geology, natural disasters, protection of natural and cultural heritage, and business.
A monograph, ninth in a row, in 42 scientific and professional articles presents on overview of temporary use of geographic information systems (GIS) in Slovenia. Many possibilities of their use are ...introduced~three-quarters of all articles present applicability of GIS. Furthermore possibilities of their use in geography, geology, geodesy, cartography, pedology, biology, forestry, civil engineering, and hydrology are introduced, as well their use in dialectology, archeology, history, by cultural heritage and natural hazards research and in addition also the use in spatial planning.
In this book (' The Spaces of Slovenian Literature'), a team of researchers from the ZRC SAZU and the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana led by Marko Juvan develops a new discipline, which is formed at the ...intersection between the analysis of the literary system and geography and relies on geographic information systems. Based on the spatial humanities approach presented in the introductory chapters, the following analyses, thematic maps and graphs try to explain how the “national space” was formed both ideologically and materially due to the interaction between geographical factors and literary practices in Slovenian from 1780 to 1940. The argument is based on spatial statistical analysis of data sets of biographies of literary actors, development of the press, publishing, literary clubs and theaters, the places represented in historical novels, and a constellation of memorial objects and designations dedicated to Slovenian writers. Systemic treatment is supplemented with discussions on the depicted and living spaces of selected writers from the 17th to the 21st century.
