V razpravah o podnebnih spremembah se krčenje ledenikov predstavlja kot pokazatelj temperaturnih sprememb. Vendar pa je za taljenje ledenikov bolj kot temperatura zraka pomemben sončni obsev. V tem ...članku nas zanimajo razlike med posameznimi leti na isti lokaciji, to je na Triglavskem ledeniku. Podatke o sončnem obsevu v talilni dobi ledenika smo primerjali s sočasnim krčenjem ledenika in tako ocenili pomen sončnega obsevanja v primerjavi z drugimi meteorološkimi dejavniki.
Primerjali smo geodetski načrt Triglavskega ledenika iz leta 1952 s topografskim načrtom iz leta 2001, ki je bil narejen s fotogrametrično izmero helikopterskih posnetkov. Tako smo izračunali ...spremembo debeline in prostornine. Ledenik se je v petdesetih letih ponekod stanjšal za več kot 35 metrov, njegova prostornina pa se je zmanjšala na petdesetino prvotne.
The regular measurements of Triglav glacier on yearly basis began in 1946. At first the measurements involved hand measurements of glacier retreat from permanently marked points on rocks around ...theglacier. First tahimetric measurements were performed in year 1952. These measurements were used for map drawing and measurement of before mentioned permanently marked points. The next tahimetricmeasurements followed in 1995. With the year 1999 regular photogrammetric measurements of Triglav glacier began on biannual basis, with different geodetic measurements of control points included. The article describes a history of geodetic field-work on Triglav glacier. Mainly geodetic measurements were performed in local coordinate system, which should be transformed in global coordinate system to enable a comparison of different time cross-section.
Množične turistične aktivnosti v visokogorju povsod po svetu že kažejo negativne okoljske učinke. Na izbranem območju preučevanja, ledeniku Baltoro (Karakorum, Pakistan), je to predvsem pogled in/ali ...vzpon na drugo najvišjo goro na svetu - K2 (8611m) in okoliške gore. S terenskim delom na območju ledenika Baltoro smo ugotavljali vire onesnaževanja in stopnjo onesnaženosti širšega območja ledenika.

With the panoramic camera ...Horizont the Triglav glacier is pictured from two standpoints every month since 1976. In detail is described the calibration of the Horizont camera made at the University of Technology in Vienna and the outer joint orientation of Horizont and metric Rolleimetric pictures. The way how to acquire requested 3D output is presented.
Pogled na Triglavski ledenik je danes pretresljiv, saj se ledenik drastično manjša iz leta v leto oziroma ga sploh ni več. Razglednica ni bila odposlana.
