Este trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar la situación de la literatura en la dictadura de Pinochet, en especial, de cuya figura fue Asesor cultural de la Junta de Gobierno y ganador con polémica ...del Premio Nacional de Literatura en 1986: Enrique Campos Menéndez. Junto a su persona, se revisaron los valores culturales del nuevo régimen a partir del concepto de institución literaria de Jacques Dubois. Para indagar en la literatura promovida y validada en dicha época, también se analizaron algunas obras significativas de Enrique Campos Menéndez, como Chile vence al marxismo (1973), Kupen (1940) y Sólo el viento (1964), la primera un texto propagandístico que criticaba con severidad el gobierno de la Unidad Popular y que incluso inducía al Golpe de Estado, en cuanto a las dos últimas, estas fueron reeditadas y vueltas a poner en circulación durante la dictadura, lo que las hizo blanco de encontrar en ellas rastros de la refundación cultural que buscaba el nuevo régimen.
History of the the French literary canon can be analyzed from two particular dispites. The first one at the origin of this canon was held in 1738 between erudites who were trying to elaborate and ...publish a list of canonical French writers. The other one, the most recent at date, was happened en 2000 about national programmes for High Schools. 1738 showed that the main concern was not to decide who are the authors to be legitimated but the ways of use of Literature. Similarly, on 2000, the matter was the question of the reasons to teach legitimated works, from professional and politics points of view. Therefore, what happens here is that the criteria to define what is legitimated are social rather than purely esthetical.

This study adopts the perspectives of “regional politics” and “cultural propaganda,” in examining the relationship between the cultural propaganda of the United States Information Service Tokyo and ...Japanese translations of Taiwan and Hong Kong literature, taking as examples Eileen Chang’s The Naked Earth and The Rice-Sprout Song. The study uses the records of the USIS-Tokyo Book Translation Program in the National Archives and Records Administration, analyzes the translation of literature from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and clarifies the importance of Japanese translations of works from Taiwan and Hong Kong for cultural propaganda in Northeast Asia. First, I demonstrate that as part of the Book Translation Program, the Japanese translation of the literature of Taiwan and Hong Kong is a medium for understanding “Communist China.” Second, I explain the functions of the two works of Eileen Chang in the Book Translation Program and clarify their production process and the logic of U.S. propaganda. The article is an overview of Sami literature, past and present, with a specific emphasis on the connection between tradition and innovation, in which literature is regarded in a broader sense than ...only limited to the written word. Thus the relationship between the traditional epic yoik songs and contemporary poetry is being dealt with, as is the multimedia approach that several Sami artists have chosen for their creative expression. It is almost more the rule than an exemption that Sami artists express themselves through the use of more than only one medium. Through the introduction to Sami literature, the reader also gets acquainted with the history and the culture of the Sami, who are the indigenous people of the northern regions of Scandinavia, Finland and the Kola peninsula in Russia.
