El presente artículo expone los resultados de una investigación cualitativa que buscó comprender cómo los discursos patriarcales de un grupo de docentes contribuyen a la perpetuación de las ...desigualdades de género en dos instituciones de Antioquia, Colombia, ubicadas en los municipios de Medellín y en Amalfi. A partir de la utilización del método hermenéutico y la entrevista semiestructurada como herramienta de recolección de información, logramos construir los resultados del estudio, que se configuraron en tres categorías emergentes, a saber: (i) Discursos patriarcales y escuela, (ii) Los estereotipos y desigualdades de género y (iii) La educación como proceso político. Concluimos que en las narrativas de las docentes y los docentes se pueden develar aspectos que son parte de los discursos patriarcales que soportan las diferencias de género en términos de la desigualdad, la inequidad, la relación jerárquica y la injusticia, como son: la comunicación verbal, las construcciones culturales y el proceso de socialización, la crianza familiar, el disciplinamiento de los cuerpos, estereotipos de género, roles y estereotipos de género y desconocimiento de conceptos.
The purpose of this study was to examine elementary general music teachers' experiences and perspectives with classroom management within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants consisted ...of five practicing elementary general music teachers in Southern California who participated in three individual interviews, one focus group, and two classroom observations during the fall of 2022. I analyzed data through axial coding (Creswell, 2012), yielding four themes: positive classroom management, social and emotional learning, support from classroom teachers and administrators, and challenges. The findings of this study highlighted participants' positive perceptions of classroom management, the importance of building relationships, students' social and emotional struggles, and unique challenges the participants faced in their role as elementary general music teachers.

This anthology offers historical perspectives on higher music education, with a particular focus on the origins and development of the Norwegian Academy of Music. It is published in connection with ...the Academy's 50th anniversary in 2023. The book contains chapters that discuss the institutionalisation of music education, the master–apprentice model, the development of so-called ‘supporting’ subjects in higher music education, the establishment and emergence of different disciplines, the evolution of genres within performance, and the expansion of higher music education's area of responsibility. The history of music education can be explored from different vantage points, based on both written and oral sources. The contributions in this anthology reflect various ways of working with historical research in a music educational context. The book will be of particular interest to administrators, teachers and students in higher music education, and to anyone interested in music education. We also hope that it can serve as inspiration for future historically orientated research in higher music education.
Denne antologien inneholder historiske perspektiv på høyere musikkutdanning, med særlig fokus på Norges musikkhøgskoles tilblivelse og utvikling. Antologien utgis i sammenheng med Musikkhøgskolens 50-årsjubileum i 2023. Antologien inneholder kapitler som drøfter institusjonalisering av musikerutdanningen, mesterlæremodellen, utviklingen av såkalte støttefag i høyere musikkutdanning, etableringen og fremveksten av forskjellige fagområder, sjangerutvidelse i utøverutdanningen og utvidelse av høyere musikkutdannings ansvarsområde. Musikkutdanningshistorie kan utforskes fra en rekke innfallsvinkler, både med utgangspunkt i skriftlige og muntlige kilder. Bidragene i denne antologien reflekterer forskjellige måter å arbeide med historisk forskning på i en musikkfaglig kontekst. Antologien vil kunne være av særlig interesse for ledere, lærere og studenter i høyere musikkutdanning, og ellers alle som er interessert i musikkutdanning. Vi håper også at antologien kan tjene til inspirasjon for fremtidig historisk orientert forskning på høyere musikkutdanning.
