Background: The aim of this study was to compile and validate the social skills training (SST) package based on puppet shows and determine its effectiveness on the behavioral problems of ...preschoolers. Methods: 40 preschool children were selected using available sampling method to evaluate the effectiveness of the compiled package on behavioral problems of preschool children (puppet shows, all components of preschool social skills) using a semi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest design. Then the intervention and the control group were selected. The opinions of the experts were collected by the Delphi method. The research population at this stage was all the specialists in the field of SST of children whom 10 were selected using purposive sampling method. The validity was confirmed using content validity index (CVI). Data of the behavioral problems subscale were collected using the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS), and analyzed using one-way analysis of covariance. Results: The findings showed that the effect of the SST package based on puppet show in the intervention group was statistically significant (F=47.28, P<0.05), so that it was effective in reducing behavioral problems of preschoolers. To validate the package, content validity index (CVI) was used, which was obtained as 0.87. Conclusion: In order to prevent and treat behavioral disorders in children, harmless treatment methods can be replaced physical punishment and verbal aggression. Correct and continuous training of social skills, along with correct and friendly communication with attractive and entertaining methods such as showing puppets to children, can be a solution to improve behavioral problems at this age.
The study is devoted to the discussion of symbols and signs in the Topeng Malangan puppet mask show, which is a traditional heritage of the ancient Javanese society. The Wayang or mask show is ...described as a depiction of human nature. Its very existence gives rise to many interpretations of the symbolism and meanings contained in it, and these conflicting interpretations seek to convey to their public their own vision of human essence in various historical circumstances. The costumed show of masked characters, like the masks themselves, cannot be separated from historical stories, such as Malangan Topeng Wayang , which tells about the history of the kingdoms of Daha and Jenggala , where the conflicting interpretations contained in the narration of symbols and signs are fully observed. Using a semiotic approach based on the R. Barthes model, the article explores the mythologized mask show, analyzes the symbols rooted in ancient history, which have come down to us in the form of drawings documented on fabric painting, lontars - manuscripts on palm leaves or in ancient books. The results of the study proved that the symbolism of signs and ancient artifacts of Malangan Topeng Wayang is rooted in retold stories that turn into folk fantasy myths that celebrate the heroism and kindness of the people of Indonesia. Nevertheless, these stories also show the presence of shameful pages of the past, hushed up by the community, since they immanently have more negative connotations which contribute to the emergence of some semantic bias, that, if misinterpreted, can distort historical facts.

The study used a qualitative philosophical approach through literature and observational-field ...study. The results of the study discovered that moral-ethics and traditional belief are the source of central values that puppet show carried out to the spectators. The puppet show was not only attracted people's surroundings but give a chance of worldly pragmatics purpose of people. Values of moral-ethics, faith, and arts are harmoniously united without dominating each other.

Background: It is very important to pay attention to the development of children in different social dimensions and to take preventive measures against the occurrence of behavioral problems at an ...early age. Therefore, it will be helpful to identify targeted and effective intervention programs in this field. So far, various methods have been used to reduce children's behavioral problems, However, there is a research gap regarding the comparison of the effectiveness of the social skills training package based on puppet show and Walker's social skills training program on children's behavioral problems. Aims: The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of social skills training based on puppet shows and Walker's social skills training program on preschool children's behavioral problems. Methods: The current research design was a semi-experimental type of pre-test, post-test with control group. The statistical population of the research included all preschool children in Kerman city, from among them a sample of 60 people was selected as available and they were placed in two experimental groups and one control group. One of the experimental groups of training through the social skills training package based on puppet shows (10 sessions) and the other experimental group underwent 11 sessions of training through Walker's training program (1983). The data collection tool was Gresham & Elliot (1990) Social Skills Rating System. The research data was analyzed by univariate and multivariate covariance analysis using SPSS-24 software. Results: The results of covariance analysis in the present study showed that both intervention methods were effective in reducing behavioral problems. However, the effectiveness of social skills training based on puppet shows in internalizing and hyperactivity problems was higher than Walker's method (P< 0.05). Conclusion: According to the obtained results, it seems that the use of intervention methods based on puppet shows are more effective in improving the behavioral problems of preschool children than purely mental methods, Therefore, preschool teachers and child psychologists can use the mentioned method to reduce children's behavioral problems.

Peneliti mencari pengaruh media puppet show terhadap kemampuan menyimak dan bercerita kelas II SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan Quasi-Experiment Pretest and postest Control Group Design. This study introduces subjective vitality into intangible culture heritage (ICH) tourism, and proposes a theoretical model involving subjective vitality, authenticity experience, experience quality, ...perceived value and tourist behavior intention. An empirical research on visitors to Quanzhou puppet troupe theatre has been carried out. The significant impact of subjective vitality on the authenticity experience has been confirmed. It also shows that the authenticity experience plays a partial mediating effect between subjective vitality and experience quality, and experience quality plays a full mediating effect between authenticity experience and perceived value, while perceived value has no mediating effect between experience quality and behavior.
Abstract: This study aims to produce a guide to awareness training to resolve conflicts constructively using the media wayang golek for junior high school student. This training guide is teaching ...material that contains material, steps in training activities, and evaluation. This research and development procedure adapted from the development of Borg and Gall which carried out six stages, namely (1) preliminary study, (2) planning, (3) product development (4) product validation, (5) product revision, and (6) final products. The analytical technique used in this Research and Development uses Descriptive analysis, which is to describe each assessment item given by experts and prospective users. Based on the results of analysis that have been obtained from puppet experts, Guidance and Counseling, Learning Media and Prospective Users, it can be concluded that the guideline of awareness training to resolve conflict constructively using puppet golek media meets the criteria of acceptance both theoretically and practically. Suggestions for future researchers are that this research is only to test experts and prospective users, so there needs to be an effectiveness test to find out the effectiveness of this product guide.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan panduan pelatihan kesadaran menyelesaikan konflik secara konstruktif menggunakan media wayang golek untuk siswa SMP. Panduan pelatihan ini adalah bahan ajar yang berisi materi, langkah kegiatan pelatihan, serta evaluasi. Prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengadaptasi dari pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilakukan enam tahap, yaitu (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk, (4) validasi produk, (5) revisi produk, dan (6) produk akhir. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam Penelitian dan Pengembangan ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif yaitu dengan mendiskripsikan setiap butir penilaian yang diberikan oleh para ahli dan calon pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah diperoleh dari ahli wayang, Bimbingan dan Konseling, Media Pembelajaran, dan Calon Pengguna, dapat disimpulkan bahwa panduan pelatihan kesadaran menyelesaikan konflik secara konstruktif menggunakan media wayang golek memenuhi kriteria keberterimaan secara teoritik maupun praktik. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya yaitu penelitian ini hanya sampai uji ahli dan calon pengguna, jadi perlu adanya uji efektivitas untuk mengetahui keefektifan produk panduan ini.
This study intends to explore the aesthetics of East Javanese Shadow Puppet (Wayang Kulit Jawa Timuran) show as one of the people’s style puppet show model. The problems discussed are related to how ...East Javanese Shadow Puppeteers respond to the existence of The Surakarta-style shadow puppet shows that are not only flourished in the Central Java region but also in most parts of East Java. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive analytical analysis. Research data are collected through literature studies, documentation studies, interviews, and field observations. The results of the study show that East Javanese shadow puppet show, both performance elements, the structure, and some elements of “garap pakeliran” have currently been colored by the idioms of Surakarta-style shadow puppet show.
Media is one of the main instruments for promoting and differentiating businesses from each other. Awareness of the brand, loyalty to the brand, attitude towards the services and products of a ...business and other factors that affect the sales of more products are all possible with targeted advertising in media. Television interactions and performing arts show the power relationship to the issue of the new format of stage offerings into a screen with anew aesthetic. The studies in the community very clearly show the problem of media and technology intervention in traditional culture of Indonesia itself and in the ways of its promotion and monetization. The issue of hybridity is common in puppet shows (which will be a case for this research) in the community, although in fact the quality of the show becomes worth researching further. Qualitative approach promises a new perspective for the existence of traditional art in the digital media age. The case of media sharing uploads becomes the primary source of data, in addition to the forms of live performances in the community. Streaming technology is a testament to the level of stage art’s path to new digital culture communication. The results of the hypotheses testing based on the effect of digital marketing on the two variables of consumer participation and consumer value regarding the traditional Indonesian art of puppet shows did not have an acceptable significant effect (p < 0.05), but in relation to the role of digital marketing on consumer confidence, this amount is regarded as acceptable. Conclusion. Power relations produce creative products in the context of television culture, and become a reference for wayang hybridity in society. The success of revitalizing wayang golek as an investor power relation in shifting the function of wayang as a medium for public entertainment.
This article is the result of the Outreach Project “Coraçõezinhos de Baependi” developed in partnership between UFJF and InCor / HC- FMUSP in the city of Baependi (MG). The project is based on ...participatory methodology in order to build comprehensive teaching, using puppet shows and music as tools. It aims at promoting the health of the children involved and hopes to awaken their interest in science and research by promoting the search for knowledge and encouraging self-care. At the end of the workshops, it was possible to observe an increase in students´ participation, interest and understanding of the issues, as reported by teachers and parents. Therefore, it was possible to conclude that the introduction of knowledge about health during childhood proved to be effective in the promotion of self-care and prevention of morbidity, which reinforces the role of schools as suitable contexts for the spread of health concepts.
O presente artigo emergiu de ações do Projeto de Extensão “Coraçõezinhos de Baependi”, desenvolvido através de uma parceria entre a UFJF e o INCOR/HC-FMUSP, na cidade de Baependi (MG). O projeto baseiase na metodologia participativa na construção de um ensino integral, tendo como ferramentas o teatro de fantoches e a música, e objetiva a promoção da saúde das crianças envolvidas, esperando despertar nelas o interesse pela ciência e pesquisa, fomentando a busca pelo conhecimento e incentivo ao autocuidado. Ao final das oficinas realizadas, foi visível a evolução quanto à participação dos alunos, ao interesse e à compreensão dos temas, o que foi relatado tanto pelos docentes da escola, como pelos familiares. Concluise, assim, que a introdução ainda na infância de conhecimento em saúde mostrou-se eficaz na promoção de autocuidado e prevenção de morbidades, reforçando o propósito das escolas como terrenos férteis para a disseminação de conceitos em saúde.
