The study was carried out at a special sports center in Konya. The subjects were 209 women and 274 men, totally 483 of whom were active in any of these sport centers and participated voluntarily in ...our study. Data in the study is obtained from “the Level of Expectation Level Scale of the Sports Centers” developed by Bingöl (2010). After obtaining information about the age, gender and duration of the sport before the scale application, “the Level of Expectation of Expectations from Sports Centers “ is applied to the same subjects. With this scale, it has been tried to determine the levels of expectations for physical development, personality development and health by means of sports and sports centers. 5-point Likert Scale was used for the scale consisting of 18 questions. Scale items were given with “1: Strongly Disagree, 2: Disagree, 3: Less Agree, 4: Agree, 5: Strongly Agree” options. According to the results of the study, the level of fulfillment of expectations in sports and sports centers was not significantly differentiated according to age (F(3-482)=1,220; P gt;0,05), In comparison with gender, it was seen that the level of meeting the expectations of male participants was higher than that of women (t(458)= -3,334; P lt;0,05). In addition, it was concluded that the rate of meeting the expectation levels of sportsmen who use gyms for 1-6 months is higher than those who use gyms for 1-3 years. (F(4-482)=3,107; P lt;0,05).
The occupational health and safety law in Turkey was enacted in 2012. Work areas are classified as very dangerous, dangerous, and less dangerous in the context of labor law. Sports centers in the ...less dangerous class have the obligation to act according to the law until July 2023. This study aims to determine how the application of the law for a public university sports center is. The situation of the sports center was examined both from the users' point of view with the application of a questionnaire and by using the risk analysis method with expert evaluation. In the light of the results obtained, the precautions to be taken within the framework of the accepted risk levels in the facilities and the harmful effects of these measures are not taken are emphasized.
City events take place in the Zhangzhou Olympic Sports Center, resulting in traffic. Hence, this study analyzed the road planning and design around Zhangzhou Olympic Sports Center through traffic ...demand forecasting. The simulated data and road plan underwent macro prediction model technology and numerical simulation technology through Emme and TransCAD. The regional road network structure, traffic demand forecast, plane, longitudinal section, and cross-sectional program selection were investigated to determine a reasonable design program. While urban development programs were implemented, the study ensured an increase in the city's economic growth alongside the guaranteed value of citizens’ welfare.
While sustainability in sports centers has recently been clarified to speed up the sustainable societal transitions under the banner of “Sport for Sustainable Development”, it seems relatively small ...and in need of movement to generate a significant outlook. In pursuit of this aim, the research for this paper was built upon the discussion concerning “Green Human Resource Management” practices, which emerged with the Ability–Motivation–Opportunity theoretical lens to embed sustainability in such centers. It specifies a system of the key practices to implement a cleaner sustainability strategy within the sports center that has multiple effects at the macro, meso, and micro levels of society. In an attempt to address the lack of research on such a system, a novel multi-methods approach was implemented in three sections. The first section led to identifying an initial seven-factor structure based on factor analysis of a pilot study with ninety-seven respondents from the green community of Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Association. Next, interpretive structural modeling was performed using a survey of experts' judgment to develop the initial structure. Finally, structural equation modeling was considered to test the developed model. Upon validation of the proposed model, the results revealed a seven-factor interpretive structural equation model with four levels: “performance management”, and “player involvement and empowerment”; “culture and supportive climate”, and “pay and reward systems”; “attracting and selecting”; and “training and development”, and “union role in player involvement and environmental management”. The analyses indicated that there were strong relationships between these key practices throughout the system. The system highlighted practices toward correlating “performance management”, and “player involvement and empowerment”, which constitute the foundation for implementing the system. The research findings highlighted the importance of this system in making the transition to the notion of “sustainable center” in Johor Darul Ta'zim, as well as for other sports centers throughout Malaysia and other parts of the world. Future research directions are also discussed.

In this study, dynamic simulations of an existing school sports building located in a hot semi-arid steppe climate (BSh) were carried out to evaluate the energy, economic, and environmental ...performance of an inorganic phase change material (PCM) and a low-concentration photovoltaic thermal (LCPV/T) hybrid collector. For this purpose, transient thermal simulations incorporating software elements were used to model the passive and active technologies. Different scenarios applied in the building -the integration of PCM into the roof (C1), the use of the LCPV/T collector system (C2), and the simultaneous use of these technologies (C3)- were established, and their energy savings, economic feasibility, and environmental impact were obtained. The combination of the PCM with melting point of 23 °C and hybrid collectors reduced the annual building electricity up to 5.8%. C1 is the best option if the cost of the PCM23 decreases to 13% of the original price, with a SPB and IRR of 3.7 years and 27%, respectively. C3 is economically feasible if the collector price is also reduced to 80%, achieving a SPB and IRR of 12.1 years and 6.6%. Finally, the greenhouse gases prevented emissions of up to 162, 138, and 24 tonCO2e/year are for C3, C2, and C1, respectively.
One of the main objectives of fitness center managers is to obtain high levels of loyalty from the customers of these fitness centers. Within the existing literature on fitness center management, ...previous research has analyzed the importance of the management variables themselves to determine the behavioral intentions of their customers, ignoring other psychological and sociodemographic aspects and focusing on linear relationship models. Therefore, this study, which aims to analyze the impact of different management variables along with psychological (emotions and subjective well-being) and demographic variables (age and sex) on the satisfaction, perceived value (PV) and future intentions (FI) of 398 users (216 men, aged 18–75, Mean = 35.89 ± 14.53) of a fitness center, intends to fill this gap. In this study, two different methodologies are used, i.e., hierarchical regressions models (HRM) and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA). The data were obtained by means of a self-administered questionnaire composed of 69 items that collected different previously validated scales. Considering HRM, the different models proposed explain 52% of the satisfaction variance, 57% of perceived value and 59% of future intentions. In general, it seems that the management variables are better predictors than subjective well-being, emotions and age or gender since their inclusion does not greatly improve the model’s predictive capacity. As far as QCA analyses are concerned, it seems that none of the conditions are necessary for high or low levels of satisfaction, perceived value or future intentions. On the other hand, based on sufficiency analyses, there seem to be 8 pathways or combinations of conditions leading to high levels of satisfaction and 13 for low levels, 11 combinations leading to high levels of IF and 10 leading to low levels; however, there are 6 combinations of conditions leading to high levels of PV and 5 leading to low levels. In general, some of the pathways consider only the management variables, although many of them consider the importance not only of the management variables but also of the interactions that these may have with emotional aspects and, to a lesser extent, with age and well-being. When comparing both methodologies, it can be observed that the QCA models are more explanatory than the HRM models and that they take into account aspects that seem unimportant when observing linear models (such as emotions or age). However, both methodologies should be considered complementary and used simultaneously since, by focusing on different aspects, enriched results are obtained. The results obtained will enable managers to make more efficient use of available resources to increase user satisfaction.
This research aimed to study the behavior of customer in using the service of a fitness center and factors that influence the decisions to use the fitness center in Bangkok:. It was thus a case study ...of the PAC Sport Center. The framework of the study includes the theory of the strategic marketing mix (7 P's of marketing) and the findings of the research were be used as a guide to set a strategic marketing mix for the fitness center. The researcher sampling (purposive sampling) was from the service users of The PAC Sport Center and comprised 400 persons and managers of the center. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire together with a structured interview that the researcher created which passed a quality check of the tool which uses determination of the exact structure (construct validity) by calculating the consistency index (index of item objective congruence) according to the experts' and the confidence or reliability was determined by monitoring the data centers (data triangulation). An effective marketing strategy to the fitness center is to focus on the service that is determined primarily by especially the customers’ needs. This requires the development of a service point and consideration of the price charged at a rate that customers can afford and are willing to pay. The process of communication between the service and the provider can hopefully lead to transfer information for improvement in service provision and effective promotion. More important is how the client is made to feel comfortable in every way, and the meeting of the desired service and value for the money they paid.
Ground surface settlement is one of the critical parameters that needs to be controlled strictly during pipe jacking. The calculation model for estimating the ground deformation induced by pipe ...jacking is scarce in the literature, especially for pipes with irregular cross-section (e.g., circular pipes with flanges). In this study, considering the pipe-soil interaction, the distribution characteristics of frictions between pipe and soil, and the support force at the tunnel face, a settlement formula is proposed for a single jacked pipe using the Mindlin’s solution and the Stochastic medium theory. Based on the cavity expansion theory, a relationship for calculating the circumferential plastic zone is developed considering the effect of flanges. The distribution of the plastic zone around the pipe and the superimposition effect due to multiple pipes are discussed. Finally, a correlation is established to estimate the ground surface settlement for three types of multiple jacked pipes with different spacing. A case study of a subway station project using the Steel Tube Slab (STS) method is presented. Comparisons of ground settlement from field measurements and theoretical calculations show that the proposed approach can reasonably predict the ground surface settlement for multiple jacked pipes.
The objective of the study was to deal with the ratio of the parameters of maximum muscle power and power endurance and explain their contribution to the sports performance in kayak disciplines of ...Slovakia National Team members.
Material and methods. Strength parameters were monitored by Tendo Power Analyser in the barbell bench press and pull on a horizontal bench. A diagnostic series of maximum power and effective repetition test for power endurance was performed at both, barbell bench press and bench pull exercises. Determining the factors limiting sports performance in kayak disciplines 200 meters, 500 meters, 1,000 meters, 5,000 meters, and marathon 21,500 meters, the evaluation of dependence between all power variables were used. The stepwise regression was used to reduce the indicators.
Results. It was found out that in kayak sprint disciplines (200 meters, 500 meters) the sports performance in the kayak is influenced by the barbell bench pull more than bench press on the horizontal bench when speaking about the strength parameters. In the middle-distance disciplines (1,000 meters), the ratio of strength parameters is balanced. As the length of kayak disciplines increases (5,000 meters and 21,500 meters), the ratio of strength parameters has changed in favor of the barbell bench press.
From the parameters of maximum muscle performance and muscle endurance measured in the barbell bench press and pull on a horizontal bench, the average power of power endurance was demonstrated to explain the sports performance in kayak disciplines.
Conclusion. From the parameters of maximum power and power endurance in the bench press and bench pull in all kayak disciplines, the parameter of average power in power endurance was proved to explain sports performance. Knowledge of these factors will allow optimizing the content of sports training of kayakers, the process of developing their strength skills, and their transformation process into a structure of sports performance and kayaking paddling technique.
