The changes in the grassland vegetation that have occurred over the last almost 100 years on the northeastern Adriatic island of Plavnik (Croatia) were studied. For this purpose, 29 phytosociological ...relevés of standard plot size were collected using the Braun-Blanquet phytosociological approach and compared with those of 100 years ago. With the aim of defining the differences among the communities and identifying the main environmental gradients, cluster analysis (Ward's method on a Chord distance matrix) and non-metric multidimensional scaling ordination were applied. Taxa score-weighted means of the Ellenberg-type indicator values of main environmental variables were used to assess ecological differences among communities, and disturbance-related indicator values were calculated to assess the disturbance regime in shaping plant communities. According to the syntaxonomic framework for the grassland associations, three associations and two subassociations were found. Among them the Festuco valesiacae-Poetum bulbosae ( Poetalia bulbosae, Poetea bulbosae ), the Helichrysetum italici salvietosum officinalis ( Scorzoneretalia villosae, Festuco-Brometea ), and the Hedypnoido rhagadioloidis-Asphodeletum ramosi were proposed as new. The Festuco valesiacae-Poetum bulbosae documents for the first time, based on phytosociological data, the occurrence of the Poetea bulbosae in Croatia. Three associations were considered extinct, possibly as a result of changes in grazing pressure and type.
Jelen tanulmány a Pilis délnyugati lábánál levő homoki gyertyános-tölgyeseinek (Corydali pumilae-Carpinetum) és cseres-tölgyesek (Fraxino orno-Quercetum cerridis) társulási viszonyait mutatja be ...10-10 cönológiai felvétel alapján. A gyertyános-tölgyesek faji összetételére a Fagetalia elemek viszonylag magas aránya jellemző. Lokálisan nevezetes fajai a Veratrum nigrum, a Piptatherum virescens, a Primula veris, a Scilla vindononensis, a Lilium martagon és a Sorbus aria agg. A nevezetes ritkaságokat az Aconitum vulparia, a Galanthus nivalis, az Epipactis helleborine agg., az Omphalodes scorpioides, a Geranium lucidum, a Berberis vulgaris, a Sorbus domestica és a Waldsteinia geoides képviseli. A cseres-tölgyesekre elsősorban a Quercetea pubescentis-petraeae s.l. elemek magas aránya jellemző. Lokálisan jellemző fajai az Anthericum ramosum, a Digitalis grandiflora, az Iris variegata, a Piptatherum virescens és a Primula veris. Egyéb nevezetes ritkaságok az Achillea distans, a Dictamnus albus, a Galanthus nivalis, a Lonicera xylosteum, a Scilla vindobonensis, a Sorbus domestica, a Veratrum nigrum, valamint a kétes őshonosságú Lunaria annua és a Tilia tomentosa. A vizsgált társulások a hagyományos és a sokváltozós statisztikai elemzések alapján a Dunántúli-középhegység Corydali pumilae-Carpinetum nevű gyertyános-tölgyessel, valamint az Fraxino orno-Quercetum cerridis nevű cseres-tölgyes asszociációval azonosíthatók.
The syntaxonomical diversity of the ruderal vegetation of the class
in the territory of Ukraine has been studied in 2015-2020. It is established that this class includes 58 associations from six ...alliances (

Based on the results of the DCA-ordination analysis, it was found that the distribution of this type of ruderal vegetation is determined by the concentration of mineral nitrogen, the degree of aeration of the substrate, and the variability of moisture. At the level of high-rank syntaxa we didn’t find only vegetation that was specific for sub-Mediterranean and Mediterranean regions as well as for eastern part of European russia. At the same time, we determined specific vegetation on the European scale from the territory of Ukraine. This is Crimean submediterranean xero-mesophytic ruderal vegetation and semiruderal meso-xerophytic vegetation united into two alliances –

. All associations within these alliances are also specific only for the territory of Crimea, characterized by the specific floristic structure and diagnostic species core, and didn’t find in other regions of Ukraine.

The syntaxonomic diversity of mountain tundra vegetation within the axial part of the Polar Urals is described. We distinguished 5 associations and 3 subassociations assigned to 3 classes of ...phytosociological classification. 4 associations and 3 subassociations are described for the first time: Pediculari lapponicae–Betuletum nanae ass. nov., Dactylino arcticae–Empetretum subholarctici ass. nov. and Br yocaulo diverg entis–Vaccinietum uliginosi solorinetosum croceae subass. nov. we assigned to the class Loiseleurio procumbentis–Vaccinietea Eggler ex Schubert 1960; Dicrano laevidentis– Bistortetum viviparae ass. nov. – to the class Carici arctisibiricae– Hylocomietea alaskani Matveyeva et Lavrinenko 2023, Rhytidio rugosi–Dryadetum octopetalae ass. nov. with 2 subassociations – typicum subass. nov. and salicetosum arcticae subass. nov. – to the class Carici rupestris–Kobresietea bellardii Ohba 1974. Specificity of altitudinal and latitudinal distribution of different syntaxa in Polar Urals is shown. Communities of the mountain tundra in the southern part of the Polar Urals are analogous to the zonal communities of the southern tundra, those in the middle part of Polar Urals are similar to such in the southern stripe of the typical tundra, and those in the northern part are analogous to the northern stripe of the typical tundra subzone.

Jelen tanulmány a Magyarország középső részén levő Duna-ártér fehérnyár-ligeteinek (Senecioni sarracenici-Populetum albae) társulási viszonyait mutatja be 25 cönológiai felvétel alapján. Laza ...öntéshomok alapkőzeten és nyers öntéstalajon kialakult állományaik az alacsony ártér viszonylag magasabb szintjeit foglalják el. Faji összetételükkel és fejlett cserjeszintjükkel jól elkülöníthetők a mintegy 1–1,5 m-rel mélyebben fekvő, kötött és iszapos talajú, cserjeszint nélküli fűzligetektől (Leucojo aestivi-Salicetum albae), valamint a magasabb ártéri szinten fejlődő tölgy-kőris-szil ligetektől (Scillo vindobonensis-Ulmetum). Aljnövényzetükben egyes – részben szubmontán jellegű – növények is megjelenhetnek, amelyek az Alföld egyéb tájain ritkák, vagy teljesen hiányoznak: Anemone ranunculoides, Carex remota, Clematis recta, Crataegus × degenii, Crataegus nigra, Epipactis helleborine, Equisetum hyemale, Galanthus nivalis, Lathraea squamaria, Leucojum aestivum, Paris quadrifolia, Scilla vindobonensis, Vitis sylvestris. Az asszociáció a szüntaxonómiai rendszer „Populenion nigro-albae Kevey 2008” alcsoportjába helyezhető.
Despite the fact that dry grassland vegetation on ultramafics has been the
object of continuous research in previous centuries, there remains a
knowledge gap in regard to the initial stages of ...vegetation on ultramafic
substrates. The Stipa-dominated dry grasslands of Serbia and Kosovo
representing various initial phases in the overgrowth of ultramafic rocks
were the object of the present study. A total of 213 relev?s were made in
different steppe-like Stipa species-dominated grasslands on ultramafics of
Serbia including Kosovo, and were then analysed in the context of Balkan dry
grassland vegetation of the Festuco-Brometea class. For cluster analyses,
new relev?s were analysed in order to characterize them floristically and
sintaxonomically. For describing associations, we used the concept of
?relative fidelity?? allowing us to find the optimum occurrence of a species
within a group of floristically similar communities. The threshold of the
phi value was selected at 0.1 for new associations. Four new associations
were distinguished: Stachyo scardicae-Stipetum tirsae ass. nov., Euphorbio
glabriflorae-Stipetum pulcherrimae ass. nov., Alysso serbici-Stipetum
pulcherrimae ass. nov. and Thymo striati-Stipetum mayerii ass. nov. Relev?s
dominated by Stipa novakii were asigned to previously described Stipetum
novaki Kabas et D. Lakusic 2013. The first three new associations were
assigned to Potentillion visianii, while the latter was assigned to the
Centaureo kosaninii-Bromion fibrosi alliance of the Halacsyetalia sentneri
order.
The Vegetation Prodrome of Italy was promoted in 2012 by the Italian “Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea Protection”, in collaboration with the “Italian Society of Botany”, to provide a ...comprehensive and systematic catalogue and description of Italian plant communities. The Prodrome that is presented in this paper is the first full organic synthesis of the vegetation of Italy at the alliance syntaxonomic level. It fulfils several needs, the main one being a unified and comprehensive national framework that may make an important contribution to the definition of the European Vegetation Prodrome. Syntaxonomy, as well as taxonomy, is sometimes based on considerations that may in part diverge: several authors tend to favour models that are divisive or aggregative to a greater or lesser extent in terms of flora, biogeography and ecology. These different points of view stimulate the scientific debate and allow the adoption of a framework that is more widely supported. The Prodrome includes 75 classes, 2 subclasses, 175 orders, 6 suborders and 393 alliances. The classes were grouped into nine broad categories according to structural, physiognomic and synecological elements rather than to syntaxonomic criteria. The rank, full valid name, any synonymies and incorrect names are provided for each syntaxon . The short declaration highlights the physiognomy, synecology, syndynamics and distribution of the plant communities that belong to the syntaxon . The Prodrome of the Italian Vegetation is linked to the European Strategy for Biodiversity, the European Habitats Directive and the European Working Groups related to the ecosystems and their services. In addition to basic applications, the Prodrome can be used as a framework for scientific research related to the investigation of the relationships between plant communities and the environmental factors that influence their composition and distribution.
