The XXI century requires further reflection in relation to discussions on the future of mankind; a topic, most often discussed is: violence against women which the family has a key role as the ...fundamental unit society. The review and literature review presented was performed with the aim of demonstrating the links between the family and society through a brief review of the origin of violence, and issues affecting the current Cuban family. Final considerations are issued based on the criteria taken from the understanding of the literature search that it could be seen that many researchers have made contributions to this content being in full correspondence with the topics discussed, being the essential element that strong indissoluble links between the family as a social-historical category and society itself.
El siglo XXI precisa de mayor reflexión en relación a los debates sobre el porvenir de la humanidad, uno de los temas acerca del cual se discute con mayor frecuencia es el de la violencia contra la mujer donde tiene un papel preponderante la familia como célula fundamental de la sociedad. La revisión y actualización bibliográfica que se presenta se realizó con el objetivo de demostrar los nexos existentes entre la familia y la sociedad a través de una breve reseña al origen de la violencia, y las problemáticas que afectan a la familia cubana actual. Se emiten consideraciones finales basadas en los criterios asumidos a partir de la comprensión de que en la búsqueda bibliográfica pudo constatarse que muchos investigadores han realizado aportes a este contenido estando en plena correspondencia con los temas abordados, siendo el elemento esencial que existen fuertes nexos indisolubles entre la familia como categoría histórica-social y la sociedad misma.
Introducción: La violencia doméstica hacia la mujer constituye un serio problema de salud, además de una violación flagrante a los derechos humanos, con impacto de la salud biopsicosocial, y ...afectación a la dinámica familiar. Objetivo: Identificar las características de la violencia doméstica contra las mujeres en el área del policlínico "Julio Antonio Mella", en el 2007. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, longitudinal, retrospectivo, en la población femenina que pertenece al citado policlínico en el periodo comprendido entre enero y diciembre del 2007. El universo estuvo representado por 4 386 mujeres, se seleccionaron 250 mediante muestreo simple aleatorio. Se les aplicó una encuesta en la que se recoge una serie de variables. El procesamiento de los datos se realizó a partir del sistema Stadistic y sus resultados se muestran en tablas. Resultados: La violencia está presente en un 70,4 % de la muestra, la violencia psicológica es la más frecuente con un 64,8 %, el 88,6 % del total de casos que manifestaron violencia refirió que sus hijos estuvieron presentes, el 71 % de los casos no están conscientes de la agresión. Conclusiones: Es frecuente la presencia de violencia contra las mujeres, acto que involucra al resto de la familia. Las féminas no tienen percepción de que son maltratadas.
According to Prosecutor’s Office of the Minor, the accusation interposed by mothers and/or fathers victims by theirs children, along 2007 were 2603, in 2008 amounted 4.211, in 2009 there were 5.209 ...and in 2010 there were 8.000 accusations. Suede this worrying increase, the principal aim of our article is to check the scientific international and national documentation, from 1957 until the year 2010 that analyses the phenomenon of the adolescent violence against parents, to achieve an approximation to its keys that there allows us the comprehension and analysis of this serious familiar problem. For it we will analyse: (a) the importance of this crime by means of criminological mediators: prevalence and incidence; (b) the age and sex variables’ aggressors to be able to establish a basic profile about theirs and, (c) the violence types that the teenagers wield to damage, prejudice and suffering against their progenitors, with the aim to obtain what they want. The information obtained in this research review and qualitative analysis, change in base to the methodology used and the type of sample under study to obtain conclusions. Even though, we wantto do research into needs to investigate this type of familiar violence, and from there, to do researches with rigorous scientific methodologies, unifying criteria and variables to be investigating, to be able to anticipate in this increasing problem that the parents have.
Según la Fiscalía del Menor en el año 2007, las denuncias interpuestas por madres y/o padres, víctimas de malos tratos por sus hijos e hijas menores de edad, fueron 2.683. En 2008 ascendieron a 4.211, en 2009 se presentaron 5.209 y en el año 2010 se registraron 8.000 denuncias. Ante éste preocupante incremento, el objetivo principal de nuestro artículo es revisar la documentación científica que analiza la violencia filio-parental, desde 1957 hasta el año 2011, para lograr una aproximación a sus claves que nos permita la comprensión y análisis de este grave problema familiar. Para ello, analizaremos: (a) la gravedad del delito a partir de los medidores criminológicos de la prevalencia e incidencia; (b) las variables de edad y sexo de los hijos para poder establecer un perfil básico del agresor y, (c) los tipos de violencia que éste ejerce para causar daño, perjuicio y sufrimiento a sus progenitores, con el objetivo de obtener lo que desea. Los datos obtenidos en nuestra revisión documental y análisis cualitativo varían según la metodología utilizada y el tipo de muestra bajo estudio impidiendo, en la mayoría de los casos, establecer conclusiones. Con ello, queremos demostrar la necesidad de investigar este tipo de violencia familiar para, y a partir de ahí, diseñar estudios con rigurosas metodologías científicas, unificando criterios y variables a investigar, para poder prevenir el creciente problema al que se enfrentan madres y padres.

Objective: To identify the characteristics of the home violence against women in the health area of the "Julio Antonio Mella" polyclinic over 2007. Methods: A retrospective, longitudinal and descriptive study was conducted in women belonging to above mentioned polyclinic from January to December, 2007. Universe included 4 386 women choosing 250 by randomized simple sampling. A survey was applied to collect a series of variables. Data processing was from the Stadistic system and its results are showed in tables. Results: Violence is present in a 70.4 % of sample, the psychological violence was the more frequent for a 64.8 %, the 88.6 % of total of cases who declared any violence said that children were present, the 71 % of cases are not conscious of the aggression. Conclusions: It is frequent the presence of the violence against woman, action involving the other members of the family. Women have not perception of its ill-treatment.

Posljednjih nekoliko godina sve se više prepoznaje potreba sustavnih istraživanja fenomena vršnjačkog nasilja u hrvatskim školama i njegovih različitih manifestacija vezanih uz socio-demografska ...obilježja počinitelja i žrtve. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati učestalost pojedinih oblika vršnjačkog zlostavljanja u dvije točke mjerenja, na početku i nakon prve godine provedbe intervencijskog programa. Ispitivanje je provedeno u 11 osnovnih škola u različitim dijelovima Hrvatske. Pokazalo se da su dječaci češći počinitelji vršnjačkog nasilja u oba mjerenja. U prvom mjerenju postoje očekivane spolne razlike u obrascu izloženosti pojedinim vrstama nasilja, prema kojima su djevojčice više izložene različitim oblicima socijalne izolacije i relacijske agresije. Utvrđeno je da učenici u drugom mjerenju znatno češće izjavljuju da su bili nasilni ili žrtve nasilja jednom ili dvaput u odnosu na prvo mjerenje, dok je broj onih koji nisu bili ni nasilnici niti žrtve manji. Spolne razlike u drugom mjerenju nisu utvrđene. Također, učenici u drugom mjerenju rjeđe navode neke oblike nasilja poput prijetnji, uzimanja i uništavanja stvari, fizičke agresije, laganja, i širenja glasina, te izrugivanja. Ove razlike se mogu pripisati povećanoj senzibilizaciji na različite oblike nasilja nastaloj tijekom provedbe intervencijskog programa, što dovodi do njihovog jasnijeg prepoznavanja, ali i učinkovitijeg suzbijanja.
Due to the socio-cultural and demographical changes that have been taking place in Turkey, differences in types of violence are coming on the scene. The purpose of the present study is to reveal the ...number of violence deaths and the variation by time in the types of violence resulting in death in the elderly of ages 65 and above in Turkey. Using a retrospective (descriptive) epidemiological method, this study was carried out with 1,326 subjects of ages 65 and above among 17,015 criminal autopsies between years 1996-2001. According to the crime scene investigations, the percentage of deaths caused by firearm injuries increased to 4.0% in 2001 from 1.9% in 1994. The dispersion of the subjects according to autopsy findings were pathologically caused death (32.3%), negative autopsy (20.3%), general body trauma (20.1%) and hanging (6.3%). Changes in the rates of deaths caused by cutting/piercing tool injuries are 1.9% and 4.3%, respectively. Regulations are needed to reinforce and financially support the family, to secure humanely life standards for the elderly, and to ensure homecare to an optimum extent.
Gender-based violence is increasing every day in the world and in Ecuador. The presence of gender-based violence in young couples is the problem identified for the completion of this study, which ...aimed to determine manifestations of gender-based violence in students of the nursing career of the Metropolitan University of Quito with a descriptive and transversal approach in the period from October 2019 to January 2020. For the collection of information, a questionnaire was applied to 60 young nursing students who take the basic nursing subject. The main results were identified that gender-based violence is a problem affecting the study population, predominantly the types of physical and psychological violence, with manifestations such as beatings, nudges, screams, insults, threats, humiliation and intimidation; they highlight as reasons for violence, drug and alcohol use, loss of control and psychological problems, the search for help to reduce gender-based violence is not carried out. The research led to the conclusion that gender-based violence is present in couples relationships, it is a problem that brings with it implications at the health, social, family and community level, where communication is an element that will reduce acts of violence in young couples is therefore vitally important to implement an action plan for students.
La violencia de género se incrementa cada día en el mundo y en Ecuador. La presencia de violencia de género en las parejas jóvenes es la problemática identificada para la realización del presente estudio, el cual tuvo como objetivo determinar las manifestaciones de violencia de género en estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería de la Universidad Metropolitana de Quito con un enfoque descriptivo y transversal en el período comprendido desde octubre de 2019 hasta enero del 2020. Para la recolección de la información se aplicó un cuestionario a 60 jóvenes estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería que cursan la materia de enfermería básica. Como principales resultados se determinó que la violencia de género es un problema que afecta a la población de estudio, predominantemente los tipos de violencia física y psicológica, con manifestaciones como golpes, empujones, gritos, insultos, amenazas, humillación e intimidación; resaltan como motivos para ejercer la violencia el consumo de drogas y alcohol, la pérdida del control y problemas psicológicos, no se realiza la búsqueda de ayuda para disminuir la violencia de género. La investigación permitió plantear como conclusión que la violencia de género está presente en las relaciones de pareja, es un problema que trae consigo implicaciones a nivel de salud, social, familiar y comunitario, donde la comunicación es un elemento que permitirá disminuir los actos de violencia en las parejas jóvenes por ende es de vital importancia implementar un plan de acción para los estudiantes.
This book is an attempt to bring the gender and development debate full circlefrom a much-needed focus on empowering women to a more comprehensive gender framework that considers gender as a system ...that affects both women and men. The chapters in this book explore definitions of masculinity and male identities in a variety of social contexts, drawing from experiences in Latin America, the Caribbean and sub-Saharan Africa. It draws on a slowly emerging realization that attaining the vision of gender equality will be difficult, if not impossible, without changing the ways in which masculinities are defined and acted upon. Although changing male gender norms will be a difficult and slow process, we must begin by understanding how versions of masculinities are defined and acted upon.
