Several countries in the world have entered the stage of globalization, and more and more human resources are needed to adapt to the modernization process. Therefore, human resources play an ...essential role in the sustainability of life today and tomorrow. However, all activities are carried out online due to the increasing pandemic. It makes all individuals experience work stress. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing time management on employees during a pandemic on the level of work stress experienced by new and other situations so that adjustments must be made to these circumstances. This study used descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The study results showed that 23.5% experienced mild stress and 76.5% experienced moderate stress, and none experienced severe stress. Therefore, the application of good time management can reduce the level of work stress experienced by respondents. The application of time management is to be effective because it has fulfilled five aspects, namely planning, prioritizing, avoiding multitasking, avoiding things that are not important, and setting time limits.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the entire business industry. Various companies are facing the post-pandemic situation and are trying to make adjustments to the current situation. The ...adjustments made by these companies create an impact on employees and lead to work stress for them. This study aims to examine the moderating effect of resilience on the relationship between personality and employee work stress. The results of previous research found inconsistencies in the results of the correlation between personality and employee work stress. Resilience, which can buffer the effects of work stress, is used as a moderating variable. The number of respondents who were actively involved was 499, who were employees aged 22–40 years and worked in various business sectors. All respondents have filled out three measurement scales: the personality scale, the work stress scale, and the resilience scale. Data collection was carried out using Google Forms. This study conducted a moderation analysis using the Hayes model 1 macro process to test the research model. Study findings show that the role of resilience moderates the relationship between personality and employee work stress (p = 0.003). The findings also show that resilience will be able to reduce work stress felt by individuals. Resilience is a component that can protect individuals from the impact of work stress. Companies need to provide assistance to improve their employees' resilience skills to reduce the daily effects of work stress.
This study aims to examine the effect of cyberloafing and work stress on the performance of accounting teachers and education staff. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. The number of ...samples used was 38 respondents. Sources of data in this study were obtained from distributing questionnaires (primary data). The collected data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of this study are that cyberloafing has a significant negative effect on the performance of accounting teachers and education staff. Work stress has a significant negative effect on the performance of accounting teachers and education staff. Work stress does not mediate the effect of cyberloafing on the performance of accounting teachers and education staff. This research has an impact on policies on human resources, especially accounting makers in completing their tasks.

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the importance of work stress in health professionals, in publications from 2019 to 2022. Methods: The method used was a systematic review with an analysis of ...empirical data on a specific topic. To obtain the information, databases Scopus, Direct, EBSCO, and the PRISMA strategy were reviewed, preselecting 313 open access articles, 300 studies were not included because they were not original or didn’t have complete information, remaining as a sample 13 original articles. Results and Conclusion: The results show that the highest percentage of studies on work stress fall on nurses and doctors, due to coexistence with suffering and death, high patient demand, long work shifts, among other reasons. It is concluded that work stress can have a negative impact on the physical and mental well-being of health professionals, as well as on their work performance. Research implications: Work stress is a physical and emotional reaction of the worker to perceived demands and pressures that are not adapted to their knowledge and abilities to face a certain situation. Originality/value: From this perspective, the importance of those most relevant aspects is analyzed and of providing a small advance in the treatment of people within organizations, which contributes to the improvement of their competitiveness and allows a greater degree of development of the organizations.
Multiple studies have shown that mental disorders are common risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). However, the relationship between psychological factors and atrial fibrillation (AF) ...incidence remains unclear. Therefore, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the risk of AF due to psychological factors.
PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were searched from inception to January 2022. Relevant and eligible cohort studies were included. Random or fixed effect model was used to estimate the pooled hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). For non-randomized studies, the risk of bias was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS).
Thirteen publications, including 5,329,908 participants, met our inclusion criteria. The incidence of AF was increased by 10% (HR = 1.10, 95% CI 1.02 to 1.19, I2 = 33.6%, P = 0.013, n = 235,599 in 6 studies) for patients with anxiety, by 15% (HR = 1.15, 95% CI 1.04 to 1.26, I2 = 40.2%, P = 0.04, n = 21,791 in 3 studies) for patients with anger, by 25% (HR = 1.25, 95% CI 1.12 to 1.39, I2 = 57.4%, P < 0.001, n = 5,160,247 in 6 studies) for patients with depression, and by 18% (HR = 1.18, 95% CI 1.05 to 1.32, I2 = 19.2%, P = 0.004, n = 51,664 in 4 studies) for people under work stress.
Adverse psychological factors such as anxiety, anger, depression, and work stress may increase the risk of AF. Interventions to prevent mental disorders may reduce the growing global burden of AF and its associated healthcare costs. Given the current study's limitations, our findings need to be further confirmed by a larger prospective study.
•Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia. Several systematic reviews have emphasized the link between psychological factors (anxiety and depression) and CVD. However, the conclusion about the correlation between psychological factors and AF still remains controversial.•In this systematic review and meta-analysis, psychological factors (anxiety, anger, depression and work stress) are found to be associated with increased risk of AF.•Several potential pathways are concluded for causality argument between mental disorders and AF.•This study suggests that effective interventions preventing mental disorders may decrease the growing global burden of AF and related healthcare cost.
During uncertain situations, such as the COVID-19 partial lockdown, maintaining satisfactory levels of employee performance (EP) is an important area of concern for many organizations. The current ...study examines the relationship of work stress due to COVID-19 (COVID-19 STR) and EP. Using social exchange theory (SET), safety culture (SC) is presented as a moderator for stress and performance relationships. A sample of 213 bank employees was collected using a convenient sampling method. Data were analyzed using stepwise linear regression and PROCESS Macro by
Hayes (2013)
. Results revealed that COVID-19 STR has a negative impact on task and contextual performance (CP) and a positive impact on adaptive performance (AP). Similarly, the prevalence of SC significantly moderates the stress and performance relationships.

Introduction:Work stress can occur in many professions, including nursing, which is inseparable from individual characteristics. Inpatient is one of the units at Ploso Regional Public Hospital, ...Jombang, which has time-consuming work that requires observation on an ongoing basis. This study aimed to understand the relationship between individual characteristics, such as age, gender, marital status, working period, and personality type, with the level of work stress experienced by the inpatient installation unit nurses at Ploso Regional Public Hospital, Jombang. Methods: Observational descriptive study was applied with a cross-sectional design. Age, gender, marital status, working period, and personality type were the independent variables used in this study, while the dependent variable was work stress. The sample used was the total accessible population of nurses in the inpatient unit with 33 respondents. The data collection method used was a general questionnaire for personal variables (age, gender, marital status, working period), Personality Type Questionnaire for personality type, and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Questionnaire for work stress. Data were analyzed using chi-square correlation and spearman correlation test. Results: In the inpatient installation unit, most nurses were male between the ages of 24-37, had a working period of less than five years, were married, and had type A personality. The individual characteristics which had a moderate relationship with work stress were age (ρ = 0.419), marital status (ρ = 0.461), and working period (ρ = 0.359). Gender (ρ = 0.246) and personality type (ρ = 0.179) had a weak relationship with work stress. Conclusion: Age, marital status, and working period had a moderate relationship with work stress, while gender and personality type had a weak relationship.
