    The use of antisense technology has grown rapidly during the last ten years inlaboratory and clinical studies. With the development of antisense technology the elucidation of unknown gene functions ... was possible, new biotechpharmaceutics were manufactured and a new way of treatment for malignant, hematological and various chronical disorders was funded. This article reviews the recent data concerning the mechanism of action and the efficiency of antisense technology.The problems regarding the application of antisense technology and interpretation of the results are discussed.
