  • Private enforcement of antitrust rules
Samec Berghaus, Nataša ; Krenn, Stefan, pravnik ; Drnovšek, Klemen
This chapter discusses private enforcement of antitrust rules, which supplements public enforcement in the discussed field of law. Since the private enforcement activities are carried out before ... Member States’ courts and principally according to national rules the past experiences revealed a clear need for unification or at least harmonization of the core rules. The Directive 2014/104/ EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 November 2014 on certain rules governing actions for damages under national law for infringements of the competition law provisions of the Member States and of the European Union was adopted in order to fill the existing gap. The said directive is in the centre of this chapter.
