Digital optimisation of forging process [Elektronski vir]

In forging shops the part production is often a technological combination of forming followed by machining. In particular in mass production the forging operations have to be well planned in order to ...minimise the machining time and reduce the cut scrap material. Last but not least, the forging operations have to be selected in an optimal way in order to reduce the forming steps and used energy. In the presented paper a case study of forming optimisation is presented on a bulk part with a large flange.
