Catalytic reactions in the continuous tubular microwave reactor

Esterification of benzoic acid with ethanol was studied in a continuous tubular flow reactor heated with microwaves. The reaction was homogeneously and heterogeneously catalyzed. Special design of ...the microwave reactor allows reaction condition at medium pressure and high temperature. Yields of the esterification under this conditions are very well considering that the esterification is relatively slow reaction with equilibrium.
