  • Spolno prenosljive okužbe pri popotnikih = Sexually transmitted infections in travellers
    Matičič, Mojca
Sexually transmitted infections, especially those in the tropics, may represent a complex health problem in travellers with risky sexual behaviour, based on the incidence and prevalence of both ... `modern as well as "classical" sexually transmitted infections. Some infections are endemic in these areas. Genital ulcerative sexually transmitted infections with adenopathy are very common. Widespread heterosexual transmission of HIV infection is dominant, in contrast to the industrialized western world, and the seroprevalence of the hepatitis B virus infection is very high. This review focuses on the most common sexually transmitted infections that are important for travellers, withregard to their clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment, as well as appropriate advice for travellers.
