    This preliminary paper deals, first of all, with the biostratigraphy of the relatively large oolitic limestone complex in the central Slovenia at Verd. Inthis area detailed biostratigrophy ... investigations and microfaces analysis have been performed. On the basic of obtained micropaleontological data, it has been possible to definealmost all biostratigraphic units used for biozonation of the Jurassic sediments in the Outer Dinarides, except the Cylindroporella anici cenozone. From the biostratigraphic point of view the Verd oolitic limestone comprises two biozones, namely: Dictyoconus cayeuxi Lukas-Spiranoconulus perconigi Allemann & Schroeder and Protopeneroplis striata Weynschenk.
