  • Correlation between speed and personality dimensions of boys 7 to 11 years of age

    The objective of this investigation was to establish the correlation between speed and personality dimensions of boys between seven and eleven years of age. The sample consisted of ninety-two ... schoolboys, attending the firstgrades of the elementary school Kette-Murn in Ljubljana. Motor abilities of speed were measured with battery of four motor tasks and personality with Big Five Questionnaire (extravesrion, neuroticism, openess, conscientiousness and agreeableness) The association between all dimensions was analysed with correlation analysis. Openess and conscientiousness have higher correlations with speed. In general the correlations between speed and personality dimensions are negative and higher for younger boys.
