  • Vpliv redne telesne aktivnosti na vazodilatacijsko odzivnost mikrožilja v koži : magistrsko delo

Regular physical exercise leads to important functional adaptations of cardiovascular system. Blood vessels that have been chronically exposed to augmented shear stress due to augmented blood flow ... exhibit greater endothelium-dependent vasodilation. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of regular intense physical training on microvascular reactivity of human skin. We hypothesized that adaptations concerning endothelial function might occur in human skin microcirculation which during exercise is exposed togreater shear according to its role in thermoregulation. Based on the level of maximal aerobic capacity and resting heart rate two groups of subjects weretestedČ cyclists competing at national level (n=18) and age-matched controls (n=22). Microvascular blood flow was measured on the dorsal aspect ofthe hand (area devoid of A-V anastomoses) and on the finger pulp of the middle finger (area rich in A-V anastomoses) using laser-Doppler (LD) method. After 20 minutes of intense bicycle exercise (80 % of maximal aerobic power) LD flux significantly increased in both measured sites. Endothelium-dependent vasodilation was assesed by the application of acetylcholine using iontophoresis on the back of the hand. On the pulp we investigated the parameters of postocclusive reactive hyperaemia (PRH) after 8-minutes occlusion of digital arteries as indexes of endothelial function. Endothelium-independent vasodilation was assesed only on the back of the hand by iontophoretically applied sodium-nitroprusside. The increases in blood flowto the application of acetylcholine were significantly greater in the group of cyclists (7,52-fold +- 2,18 increase in LD flux), as compared to controls (5,86-fold +- 2,09).
