Evolution to capability set 2 : an example of conferencing

CCITT is completing work on standardization in Capability Set 1 (CS-1). To support new IN capability sets, CS-1 must not contain assumptions which limit its ability to evolve to future capability ...sets. The current CS-1 call processing model is sufficient for Type A services, but for Type B sevices is considered to be inappropriate. In the paper, problems arising from using this model for activating Type B services are presented by example of Conference Calling service. In addition, some issues to provide forward compatibility between CS-1 and CS-2 are given.
