  • Poimenovanja s področja "novih seksualnosti" v slovenščini : od metroseksualca do strupenega samca : diplomsko delo

    For the purposes of this thesis, new sexualities are defined extremely broadly. I refer to sexual patterns and behaviours that we could rekate to new sexualities or which could affect various forms ... of sexualities. Such expressions are only formed in a few realms such as the gay scene, the drug and music scenes. In order to create a list of neologisms of new sexualities I consulted the Internet dictionary of neologisms The Word Spy. My source expression was the currently popular term metrosexual. I gradually formed a certain meaning cluster, the subject of this thesis. Exery expression is followed by a definition and a short discussion. The list not only includes the English original but the Slovenian translation as well. I present data referring to meaning and frequency. When found this is supported by examples of real use. The thesis proved to be very creative. Traditional dictionaries were mainly not helpful at all. On the other hand, the Internet proved to be a valuable source. Most examples of real usage were taken from the Internet. Several examples of real usage derive from slang.
