Electronic order processing in the automobile industry supply chain

The paper presents an open source solution which is based on the content management system Alfresco Community Edition 3.3 and enables its integration with the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) ...Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, whereby the document system Alfresco allows for the transformation of the source EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) order into the ERP system database. At the same time a read-only document (PDF format) is created, which is stored in the document management system and forwarded to apposite users. This way the users do not need to re-enter the received orders since the record in the database facilitates its upgrading for perfonning forecasts and sales tasks.
