  • Group dynamics in team [Elektronski vir] : promoting innovation and creativity
Ocvirk, Aleksandra ; Trunk Širca, Nada
In the last ten years, team work has gained its ground in a variety of social contexts. If in the past, team work was more or less the domain of private sector organisations, team work today has ... established itself in all the segments of social life: government organisations, politics, non-profit sector, private sector. Organisational and management development trends in businesses increasingly aim at a higher level of cooperation through team work, which, in turn, produces greater innovation, creativity, efficiency, and flexibility in the production system, as well as a greater accountability for tasks undertaken. This Article discusses the notion of team primarily from the standpoint of group dynamics, from team formation stages to team operation. Special interest will be given to innovation processes which numerous authors have attributed to team work. This Article also presents a study which showed that the success and quality of relationship among team members are strongly correlated with greater success and speed in finding solutions as well as with innovation.
