    The thesis presents the introduction of a new credit card by means of project management in a tourist agency. Based on the theoretical analysis of sources in professional literature this scheme ... examines the efficacy of such project in praxis according to theoretical principles. It presents business advantagesof project management. The thesis statistically examines the projectresults by means of a questionnaire/ interview, it confirms the existence of the chosen target group and it's inclination to a new partner card; it further confirms the correct decision of management of the travel agency regarding the partner card and presents relevant suggestions. The thesis encompasses numerous factors of project management which influence the implementation of the project in a apositive way and, it deals with achieving the strategic goals and further also determines that the methodology of the card introduction was coorectly chosen. In the conclusion this academic paper presents a recommendation for all Slovenian companies to introduce project management and it also encourages the development of tourism business activities through further similar projects.
