In this article, the authors present their solutions on the adaptation of an ERP Production module dedicated to assembly lines, with the aim of meeting specific requirements in the process industries (chemical, cosmetics, food, pharmaceutics, etc.). Their ideas were validated based on top ERP solution implementation, using its utilities and software modules. There are represented certain elements to the execution of the Production module and also the specific requirements in process industry, from a beneficiary point of view. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution meets the requirements of the packaging phase, requiring a few customizations for the characteristics of production activities and explicit developments related to the process industry. As future developments in the ERP modules, the authors propose in this paper a connection with the Process Control Systems (PCS), highlighting several advantages. The latter record both technological information and business information (information on the consumption of raw materials, packaging, completed production etc.) by monitoring the data generated by production automation equipment, such as: electronic flow meters, electronic scales, sensors and transducers, digital countdown and other specialized devices.
