    Alqalyoobi et al discuss their study on circulating plasma biomarkers of progressive interstitial lung disease (ILD). ILD encompasses a large number of diffuse parenchymal lung diseases that commonly result in pulmonary fibrosis (PF). The most common forms of ILD include idiopathic PF, connective tissue disease-associated ILD, chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (CHP), and unclassifiable ILD.
