O trabalho propõe uma análise biopolítica do sono, partindo da leitura do ensaio de Jonathan Crary, 24/7 – capitalismo tardio e os fins do sono. Segundo Crary, a realização final do capitalismo estaria na dependência de resolver o problema do sono: enquanto ainda necessitarmos de pausa para dormir, o capitalismo ainda não pode se realizar ple-namente. Superar a necessidade de dormir seria a condição para um funcionamento do capitalismo em regime ininterrupto, chama-do de 24/7. A análise buscará apoio no con-ceito foucaultiano de disciplina (Vigiar e pu-nir) e no conceito arendtiano de natalidade (A condição humana).
