In recent years, major advances in monitoring processes through sectoral control systems have been observed, but so too has the lack of interoperability of spatial information systems. In the frame of the EuroGEOSS project, interoperability between Drought ManagementCentre for Southeastern Europe (DMCSEE) and European Drought Observatory (EDO) has been developed. For interoperability processes, open source tools and Open Geodata Interoperability specifications(OpenGIS) were used ; V zadnjih letih je opazen napredek na področjuspremljanja procesov v prostoru s sektorskimi sistemi nadzora, pri čemer je zaznati pomanjkanje medopravilnosti prostorskih informacijskih sistemov.
