Aristovnik, Aleksander ; Ravšelj, Dejan ; Umek, Lan, 1981-
Public administration together with public governance play a crucial role in the contemporary society by promoting and implementing sustainable development, which has been recognised as a driver for ... overall wellbeing in the long-term. Accordingly, the main aim of the paper is to explore the role of public governance models (PGMs) in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) or Transformations. The frequency and similarity analysis are based on the Scopus database that contains 8,543 documents on PGMs research. The results of frequency analysis reveal the exponential growth of PGMs research, whereby 38% of documents are related to SDGs, while most of PGMs and SDGs research has been conducted in Anglo-Saxon countries. Finally, the results of similarity analysis show that "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions", "Quality Education", "Partnerships for the Goals", and "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure" are the most prominent SDGs across all PGMs, with the latter being the most emphasized within Good Governance and Digital-Era Governance, in which "Digital Revolution of Sustainable Development" and "Sustainable Cities and Communities" Transformations are most emphasized.
