    In 2004 Terézia Mora published her first novel, Alle Tage (Day In Day Out), which earned itself solid and sometimes even enthusiastic reviews. It is a multi-perspective story about an immigrant from ... former Yugoslavia who, having escaped the civil wars during the 1990s and despite possessing the preconditions for integration into German society, ultimately fails to integrate. He is an outstanding, multilingual genius and translates and interprets from ten languages. At the beginning of the novel he is found beaten and stabbed almost to death. His friends try to reconstruct the life ofthis mysterious man and find a lot of unexplainable details and some of his well hidden secrets. I argue that this novel does not show a prototype or archetype of an immigrant character, but shows by mystification of this, the inherent condition of migration and the impact of violence experiences for refugees from war or civil war countries.
