The EC area is complicated by the customisation of EC algorithms to specific problems - one solution is difficult or even impossible to use in other problem domains. Another limitation is the general ... concept in EC that ties both evolutionary part and problem part in one fitness function. Failure to specify a near-perfect fitness function usually leads to bad results. In orderto create a general EC framework we need to avoid regular fitness evaluation and use more natural irnplicit fitness concept. Combined with co-evolution this is a powerfull engine for any evolutionary search. If we specify the individual's genotype in. a form of a compact codon language with indirect adressing scheme and use this in our EC model we can build a fully independent EC library that needs much less programming to find solutions for different problem areas.
