  • Collapse dolines, deflector faults and collector channels

    In some Slovenian caves collector channels gather sinking underground streams and redirect them for potentialy long distances parallel to certain faults. They formed due to permanent collapse of cave ... roofs at the points where they break through the faults, which function as a kind of screen and are termed deflector faults. The fault trends are marked by collapse within the caves, and by active collapse dolines at the surface.
