  • Začrtajmo pot do dobrega počutja : aktivnosti oseb po amputaciji spodnjega uda = Let's map the path to well-being : activities of persons after lower limb amputation
    Pihlar, Zdenka ...
Background: People after lower limb amputation face problems in performing many activities. The aim of our study was to find out which activities they want to continue performing and consider ... important. Methods: Using Functional Independence Measure - FIM and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure - COPM, we assessed fifty patients after lower limb amputation admitted to inpatient rehabilitation. Results: We found that it is not sufficient for patients after lower limb amputation to be independent in basic activities of daily living, because they want to perform many other activities as well. FIM as the most commonly used assessment scale in rehabilitation does not include many activities that the patients want to perform. Conclusions: Patients after lower limb amputation want to perform many activities in addition to walking using the prosthesis. The task of the rehabilitation team is to help them as much as possible in those efforts. The COPM questionnaire, which identifies and evaluates the desired activities, therefore has an important role in planning rehabilitation and occupational therapy.
