    The prohibition of the use of any kind of asbestos forced the industries that used asbestos in their production process, to start searching for a proper substitute. During their search, they were ... unaware of the fact that some substitutes may be dangerous as well and that they also represent a health hazard for workers, if the regulations regarding safety and healthy at work places are not met. Workers in the car industry and car and railway repair shops will still have to remove and maintain asbestos break lingings for quite some time. Most workers do not use protection against asbestos fibres, as they are not aware of the possible hazards.
