  • Osteoartroza in zdravnik družinske medicine = Osteoarthrosis and the family medicine doctor
    Antolič, Vane
Osteoarthrosis is a progressive non-inflammatory disease with typical degenerative changes of the articular cartilage. The finger joints and large weight-bearing joints are typically involved. The ... correlation between X-ray changes and the overall clinical picture is sometimes very poor. The affected joint is swollen, periarticular muscles are atrophic, palpable crepitus is present and range of motion is typically reduced. Therapy for osteoarthrosis consists of prevention of joint overloading, physical therapy, diet, palliative drugs and surgery.
