    Staff of nursing homes provide nonmedical supply, nursing and medical rehabilitation to their residents, while medical treatment is provided by general practitioner. Time standard for a general ... practitioner and his team ina nursing home (approved by the National health insurance) is 5 hours per resident per year. Work in the nursing home surgery is similar to the usual work of a general practitioner, but it includes more medico-technical interventions. Medical records should be kept even more accurately because written instructions for treatment are also considered as an order for the medical staff of nursing home. Work on the wards of nursing home is similar tothe rounds of a hospital physicians and sometimes it is similar to home visits. Cooperation between a physician and medical and nursing staff is crucial for a successful nursing and treatment because nurses (asg a connection between a physician .and residents) frequently have to make a responsible triage. The communication with residents' relatives is also an important part of physician's work in a nursing home.
