  • Ploščatocelični karcinom kože = Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma
    Slanič, Aleš
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma is the second most common form of skin cancer. It frequently arises on the sun-exposed skin of middle-aged and elderly individuals. Rate of squamous cell carcinoma ... has been increasing, possibly as a result of increased exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Most squamous cell carcinomas are readily identified and removed in the physician'soffice as a minor surgical procedure. Larger, more invasive lesionsmay require aggressive surgical management and/or radiation therapy. Although squamous cell carcinoma metastasizes in a small percentage of cases, certain clinical types exist, that has a considerable metastatic rate and requires careful evaluation and treatment.
