  • Kanabinoidi - njihovo delovanje in učinki
    Štempelj, Mateja ; Ferjan, Ilonka
Cannabinoids are the active components of Cannabis saliva, their synthetic and endogenous analogues. delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta9THC) isthe main psychoactive component of Cannabis sativa. Its ... pharmacological properties are very similar to those exerted by endogenous cannabinoids. The first endocannabinoid discovered was named anandamide, with reference to its chemical structure, the amide of arachidonic acid and ethanolamine. Cannabinoids act on specific G i/0 protein-coupled C81 and CB2 receptors. The cannabinoid signaling is terminated by cellular uptake and intracellular degradative enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase. Recent studies are focused on therapeutic uses of cannabinoids, since they exert effects in multiple conditions, including nausea and vomiting, pain loss, appetite stimulation, convulsions, autoimmune diseases and glaucoma.
