This study focuses on evaluating the accuracy of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a region characterized by diverse topography. The accuracy of the gravimetric geoid model ...is directly correlated with the resolution and accuracy of the digital elevation model (DEM). To date, no research has been conducted on the accuracy of global and regional models for the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, using ground control points. The analysis encompasses various aspects of DEMs, including interpolation methods (bicubic, B-spline, bilinear, and nearest neighbor), data sources, control points, and datum alignment. Both global and regional DEM models are integrated, introducing a native terrain model. Two sets of control points are utilized for accuracy assessment, along with datum alignment approach. The performance of the BIHDEM model is scrutinized, and a comparison with LIDAR data is conducted. Accuracy assessment involves calculating the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) for all DEMs and interpolation methods. The study reveals that the bicubic interpolation method yields the best results. The BIHDEM model proves to be the most effective for SET1 (high precision leveling network), while COPERNICUS emerges as the optimal choice for SET2 (trigonometric network). Furthermore, an analysis of the elevation profiles obtained from LIDAR and DEM models highlights significant differences, with ASTER, MERIT, NASADEM and SRTM exhibiting the largest variations. In contrast, FABDEM and BIHDEM models demonstrate minimal differences. Mean values and RMSE further support the superiority of FABDEM and BIHDEM models, providing valuable insights for geospatial applications in the region.
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are used for different purposes in geodesy, like engineering geodesy, land management, real estate cadastre, land surveying, etc. However, high-precision ...GNSS measurements are used primarly for determination of reference networks, and for investigation of geodynamical phenomena as tectonic plates movements, which is the focus of this paper. An active GNSS network of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIHPOS) was used for calculation of coordinates and velocities of networks' stations. Data from 23 stations were processed using scientific software GAMIT/GLOBK (version 10.7), developed on MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). A sub-centimeter accuracy of coordinates is achieved and accuracy of calculated velocities is better than 1 mm/year. Station velocities interpretate geodynamics of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Six IGS stations were used, as reference datum stations. Reference stations analysis results are in good match with EUREF Permanent GNSS Network velocities, while BIHPOS stations velocities (at 13 stations in Bosnia and Herzegovina) show very similar trend to the velocities obtained from regional geodynamic campaigns (CERGOP).
AbstractSatellite positioning methods global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning are used for various applications, which is especially true in the case of the real-time kinematic (RTK) ...method. This method provides real-time differential data for surveyors to achieve reliable positioning accuracy. In this paper, theoretical foundations for testing the GNSS receivers according to ISO 17123-8 standard are introduced. Using this standard, the positioning performance of a geodetic GNSS receiver Trimble R8s was evaluated using Bosnian Active GNSS Network Bosnia and Herzegovina positioning service (BIHPOS) and a conventional base-rover RTK solution. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the ranging pole support and the quality of the RTK position solution. Besides that, results from RTK positioning using a single base station versus a network of base stations are also compared. Several comprehensive tests were conducted, which involved the most common field procedures where the pole is hand-held by the surveyor and positioned vertically using a circular bubble, whereas in other experiments, a bipod was attached to the range pole, and the GNSS instrument was mounted directly to a tripod via optical plummet-equipped tribrach. The precision, absolute accuracy, and relative accuracy of positioning solutions obtained from these experiments were compared and discussed. The results indicate that regardless of how the RTK range pole was supported, the effect of rover pole holding is within the error of satellite surveys. Furthermore, it was confirmed that using a bipod or a steady hand can produce as accurate RTK results as a tripod.
U ovom radu opisana je priprema dokumentacije dijela kulturno-povijesne baštine Bosne i Hercegovine, tj. poznate kapele na pravoslavnom groblju „Sveti arhanđeli Georgije i Gavrilo“ u Sarajevu, ...metodom UAV fotogrametrije. Korištene su dvije letjelice (poluprofesionalni i amaterski dronovi) DJI Phantom 4 Pro i DJI Mavic Pro, a korištenjem prikupljenih fotografija izrađeni su 3D modeli snimljenog objekta. Pokazatelji kvalitete 3D modela kapele dobiveni su kroz ocjenu geometrijske točnosti, s različitim aspektima i kombinacijama. Dobivena apsolutna 3D točnost modela visoke rezolucije iznosi 14 mm, dok je relativna točnost 9 mm.
In order to support modern business environment, software engineering has a constant tendency to increase productivity and thus the quality of the software. For this reason, a model for prediction of work habits based on personality types has been introduced in this paper. Through the results of the research, by analyzing the employees of the FitSoft company (Bosnia and Herzegovina), a statement has been made of the existence of a certain correlation between the types of personality and the way they perform their tasks. The purpose of testing personality types is to determine how an individual performs their daily activities, and which features give them the advantage of choosing and performing certain jobs. A proposed model for predicting employees' habits inside agile software teams based on personality estimates should present a clear insight of all factors that are related to employees, their productivity and business results.
