Türkiye'nin 7 bölgesine ait 35 ilden toplanan 340 adet yerel ekmeklik buğday çeşidinden seçilen 42 saf hat, 7
modern ekmeklik buğday çeşidi ile birlikte Konya doğal koşullarında 2005-2006 ve ...2006-2007 yetiştirme sezonlarında
değerlendirilmiştir. Denemeler 3 tekerrürlü 7 × 7 latis deneme desenine göre kurulmuştur. Tane verimi ile 12 karakter
arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla elde edilen verilere genotip-karakter (GK)-biplot analizi ve path analizi
uygulanmıştır. İncelenen karakterlerle oluşturulan GK biplot grafiği, karakterler arası ilişkileri göstermiş (ıslah
amaçları bakımından), pozitif veya negatif ilişkili karakterleri belirlemiş, hat ve ebeveyn seleksiyonu için oldukça
önemli olan genotiplerin (saf hat - çeşit) karakter profilini (güçlü-zayıf) görsel olarak değerlendirmeyi sağlamıştır.
İncelenen karakterlerden, metrekarede tane sayısı, biyolojik verim, hasat indeksi, metrekarede başak sayısı, başakta
tane sayısı ve başakta tane ağırlığında geniş varyasyonlar tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek tane verimine sahip olan saf hat
veya çeşitlerin aynı zamanda en yüksek metrekarede tane sayısı, hasat indeksi ve biyolojik verim değerlerine de sahip
oldukları belirlenmiştir. Tane verimi ile birlikte birkaç karakter bakımından iyi olan, G43 (Kars-TR15796-7), G33
(Kars-TR15796-4), G20 (Kütahya-TR55167-3) ve G11 (Kütahya-TR55212-4) yerel buğday saf hatları çeşit adayı olarak
ekmeklik buğday bölge verim denemelerine alınabilir. Yüksek kalite değerlerine sahip olan G26 (Samsun-TR37926-3),
G45 (Erzurum-TR32881-6) ve G49 (Erzurum-TR32668-1) saf hatlar ise, kalite ıslahında ebeveyn olarak kullanılabilir.
Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, Türkiye kışlık yerel ekmeklik buğdayları kısa dönemde metrekaredeki tane sayısı ve biyolojik
verim üzerinden yapılacak dolaylı ya da tane verimine göre yapılacak doğrudan seleksiyonla, uzun dönemde ise yüksek
endüstriyel kalite karakterleri için yabancı genetik materyalle melezleme programlarına alınarak geliştirilebilir.
In this study, 42 bread wheat pure lines obtained from 340 landraces, collected from 35 provinces of 7 regions in
Turkey, and 7 modern bread wheat cultivars were evaluated under rainfed conditions in Konya, in 2005-2006 and 2006-
2007 growing seasons. Experiments were conducted in a 7 × 7 lattice design in 3 replicates. Both genotype-traits (GT)
biplot analysis and path analysis were used to investigate the relationships between grain yield and 12 traits. Applying
both types of analyses to the multiple traits data revealed that GT biplot graphically displayed the interrelationships among
traits (breeding objectives), identii ed traits that are positively or negatively associated, and facilitated visual comparison
trait proi les (strength and weakness) of genotypes, which is important for parent as well as variety selection. Vast
variations existed in traits (number of grains $m^ {-2}$
, harvest index, number of spikes $m^ {-2}$
, number of grains spik$e^ {-2}$
, and
weight of grains spike-1
and biological yield) and grain yield. It was found that either pure lines or cultivars with the
highest grain yield had the highest biological yield, number of grain $m^ {-2}$
, and harvest index. The results showed that pure
lines combined with favorable traits G43 (Kars-TR15796-7), G33 (Kars-TR15796-4), G20 (Kütahya-TR55167-3), and
G11 (Kütahya-TR55212-4) can be evaluated in multi-environment trials for a candidate winter bread wheat registration
trial. Some pure lines that had high quality traits G26 (Samsun-TR37926-3), G45 (Erzurum-TR32881-6) and G49
(Erzurum-TR32668-1) might be good parents for enhancing quality in bread wheat. In conclusion, for the short-term
improvement of Turkish bread wheat landraces may be possible through an indirect selection of the number of grain m-2
and biological yield, or direct selection for grain yield per se. In the long-run, crossing programs between indigenous
and introduced exotic germplasm may be necessary for high industrial quality characters of bread wheat.
For sustainable agricultural production, besides drought, plant resistance to irrigation water and soil salinity should be investigated. Researchers mostly focused on salinity and drought resistance ...of common species such as wheat, barley, maize, etc. However, the number of studies on chickpea with various uses is quite limited. In the present study, 11 chickpea varieties (Aksu, Arda, Hasanbey, Azkan, Cagatay, Aslanbey, Inci, Seckin, 21C, 42C and EN1867) were subjected to germination tests under different levels of irrigation water salinity (ECi) conditions to identify irrigation water salinity resistant and sensitive varieties. In germination tests, besides control treatment (0 dS/m), five different EC levels (6, 8 10, 12 and 16 dS/m) were used in germination solution. The sodium absorption ratio of saline waters was adjusted to be below 3. GGE biplot method was used for visual assessment of genotype response to saline irrigation waters. The threshold salinity value for germination was identified as 12 dS/m based on germination ratios and seedling dry weights, 8 dS/m based on seedling stem lengths and 10 dS/m based on seedling root lengths. Based on germination ratios and seedling dry weights, Azkan cultivar was identified as the most resistant and Cagatay cultivar was identified as the most sensitive cultivar to irrigation water salinity.
Cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub.) has various uses worldwide. Plants, also called as guar, are used in industry, animal feeding and green pods are used as fresh vegetable in some ...countries. This research is the first study in Turkey carried out about nutritional composition of edible cluster bean lines. Ten edible guar lines selected from mixed populations supplied from abroad through singlet selection between the years 2011-2015 under Çanakkale provincial conditions were experimented in this study. Green pod yield, yield components and nutritional attributes of 10 guar lines were investigated with field experiments conducted in two years (2016-2017). Statistical assessments were performed for green pod yield, number of pods per plant, single pod weight, pod length, pod width, crude protein, digestible protein and dry matter ratios. Green pod yields per plant varied between 63.70 - 81.34 g; number of pods per plant varied between 18.78 - 25.98. Although there were numerical differences in yields of harvests, such differences were not found to be significant. Single pod weights of the guar lines varied between 2.91 - 3.76 g and differences in single pod weights of the guar lines were found to be significant (p<0.01). Pod lengths varied between 10.86 -12.43 cm and pod widths varied between 1.31-1.32 cm and differences in pod length and pod widths of the guar lines were not found to be significant (p>0.01). Crude protein contents of guar lines varied between 14.38 - 17.22% DM and differences were not found to be significant; digestible protein contents varied between 65.40 - 75.25% CP and differences were found to be significant (p<0.01). Dry matter ratios of the green pods varied between 15.92 - 21.16% and the differences in dry matter ratios were not found to be significant (p<0.01). Considering the correlations among the investigated traits, it was observed that green pod yields had significant positive correlations with the number of pods per plant, pod weights and pod lengths (p<0.05). Pod weights decreased with increasing number of pods (p<0.01); decreasing dry matter ratios were observed with increasing pod weights and pod lengths. A similar change was also observed in digestible protein contents based on crude protein contents (p<0.05).
Las semillas oleaginosas de seis especies de Vicia (Leguminosae) fueron investigadas por su proteína, contenido en taninos y composición en ácidos grasos. El contenido de proteína en las semillas ...varió entre un 21,87%-31,33%. El contenido de taninos en las semillas varió entre un 0,13%-1,07%. La composición de ácidos grasos de estas seis diferentes especies fue determinada por GC mediante los ésteres metílicos de sus ácidos grasos. Las semillas oleaginosas de las especies de Vicia contienen ácidos palmítico y esteárico como componentes mayoritarios entre los ácidos grasos saturados, con pequeñas cantidades de ácido mirístico, ácido palmitoleico y ácido margárico. Los ácidos grasos insaturados mayoritarios encontrados en las semillas oleaginosas fueron el ácido oleico, ácido linoleico y ácido linolénico. En este estudio, el contenido total de ácidos grasos saturados de las especies de Vicia varió entre 18,5 y 22,4% mientras que el de insaturados varió entre 71,1 y 80,3%.
The seedoils of six Vicia species (Leguminosae) were investigated for their protein, tannin contents and fatty acid compositions. The protein contents of the seeds were found to be between 21.87%-31.33%. The tannin contents of the seeds were found to be between 0.13%-1.07%. The fatty acid compositions of these six different species were determined by the GC of the methyl esters of their fatty acids. The oilseeds of Vicia species contain palmitic and stearic acids as the major component of their fatty acids, among the saturated acids, with small amounts of myristic, palmitoleic and margaric acids. The major unsaturated fatty acids found in the oilseeds were oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids. In this study, the total saturated fatty acids of Vicia species were between 18.5 and 22.4% while the total unsaturated fatty acids were between 71.1 and 80.3%.
Bu çalışma, 2017-2018 yetiştirme sezonunda Edirne ili Uzunköprü ilçesi koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada 34 adet tescilli, 2 adet yerel nohut çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Deneme tesadüf blokları deneme ...desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Çalışmada yöreye uygun ümitvar nohut çeşitlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. En yüksek tane verimi 326.97 kg/da ile Eser-87 çeşidinden, en düşük tane verimi 97.50 kg/da ile Küsmen-99 çeşidinden elde edilmiştir. Çiçeklenme gün sayısı 48.33 ile 62.07 gün arasında, ana dal sayısı 0.43 ile 9.17 (adet/bitki) arasında, yan dal sayısı 4.83 ile 49.23 (adet/bitki) arasında, ilk bakla yüksekliği 11.50 ile 30.90 cm arasında, bakla sayısı 25.03 ile 261.50 (adet/bitki) arasında, bitkide tane sayısı 33.63 ile 281.33 (adet) arasında, bitki boyu 38.50 ile 66.37 cm arasında, bitki genişliği 25.10 cm ile 83.83 cm arasında değişmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre Trakya bölgesi için Eser-87, Aziziye-94 ve İnci nohut çeşitlerinin ümitvar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Bu araştırmada Türkiye’nin doğu bölgesinden toplanan bazı yerel ekmeklik buğday popülasyonlarından seçilen saf hatlardan tane verimi, verim unsurları ve bazı kalite özelliklerine göre belirlenen 41 ...adet genotipin, SDS-PAGE yöntemi kullanılarak Glu-1 lokusunda bulunan yüksek molekül ağırlıklı glutenin (YMAG) alt birimleri incelenmiştir. Ekmeklik buğday saf hatlarında Glu-1 lokusuna ait 9 tane allel belirlenmiştir. Glu-A1 lokusuna ait sadece null alleli (c) belirlenirken, Glu-B1 lokusuna ait 7+8 alt birimi (b) 35 (% 85.4) saf hatta 13+16 alt birimi (f) 2 (% 4.9) saf hatta, 7 (a), 14+15 (h), 17+18 (i) ve 6+8 (d) alt birimleri ise sadece 1’er (% 2.4) saf hatta gözlenmiştir. Glu-D1 lokusunda a alleli 34 (% 82.9) saf hatta, d alleli 7 (% 17.1) saf hatta belirlenmiştir. Yedi farklı YMAG alt birimleri kombinasyonlarının saptandığı çalışmada en yaygın olarak (% 78.0) gözlenen “n, 7+8 ve 2+12” kombinasyonu 32 saf hatta belirlenmiştir. Sadece 5 saf hat (% 12.2) 8 kalite skor değerini alırken, 36 (% 87.8) saf hattın skor değerinin 4-6 arasında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir.
Bu çalışmada farklı büyüme tabiatına (yazlık, fakültatif ve kışlık karakterli) sahip 15 arpa çeşidi (7 çeşit 2 sıralı ve 8 çeşit 6 sıralı başak tipinde), 2017-2018 ve 2019-2020 üretim sezonlarında, ...yağışa bağımlı şartlarda, yazlık arpa zonunda denemeye alınmış ve 8 bitkisel karakter (tane verimi, hasat indeksi, başakta tane sayısı, metrekarede başak sayısı, bitki boyu, başaklanma süresi, bin tane ve hektolitre ağırlığı) incelenmiştir. 2 sıralı arpa çeşitlerinden bazıları hem yüksek tane iriliği (yüksek bin tane ve hektolitre ağırlığı) ve hem de tane verimi yönüyle dikkati çekmiştir. Tane iriliği küçük olmasına rağmen, bazı 6 sıralı arpa çeşitlerinin tane verimi değerleri 2 sıralı çeşitlerle rekabet edebilir seviyeye ulaşmıştır. Diğer taraftan denemede test edilen kışlık ve fakültatif arpa çeşitlerinin tane verimi ve diğer bitkisel özelliklerine ait değerler, yazlık arpa çeşitlerinin gerisinde kalmıştır. Bu durumun temeli nedeni kışlık ve fakültatif arpa çeşitlerinin başaklanma sürelerinin yazlık arpa zonuna uyumsuzluğuyla açıklanmıştır. Çünkü kışlık ve fakültatif arpa çeşitlerinin uzun fenolojik döngüye sahip olmaları, özellikle başaklanma ve tane dolum dönemlerinin kuraklığa (yağış eksikliğinden dolayı) denk gelmesine neden olmuş, bu da tane verimi başta olmak üzere diğer bitkisel karakterlerini olumsuz etkilemiştir. Denemeden elde edilen bulgular, Türkiye’de en fazla arpa üretiminin yapıldığı kışlık arpa zonunun iklim değişiminden olumsuz etkilenebileceğini göstermektedir. Kışlık ve fakültatif arpa çeşitlerinin iklim değişimine uyumunu artırmanın yollarından birisi fenolojik döngüsünün kısaltılması olabilir.
In present study, effects of different mixture ratios of cluster bean (CB) and maize (M) on silage fermentation and nutritional traits were investigated. Based on dry matter (DM) ratios, maize and ...cluster bean plants were mixed in five different ratios (100% M, 75% M+25% CB, 50% M+50% CB, 25% M+75% CB and 100% CB). Pure maize, cluster bean and mixture were ensiled for 60 days. Effects of mixture ratios on investigated traits were found to be highly significant (p≤0.01). Increasing silage DM, ADF (acid detergent fiber), NDF (neutral detergent fiber), lactic acid, gas-methane production, metabolizable energy (ME) and organic matter digestibility (OMD) values and decreasing pH levels were observed with increasing maize ratio of the mixtures. Increasing silage crude oil (CO), crude ash (CA) and crude protein (CP) content and volatile fatty acids (acetic, butyric and propionic) were observed with increasing cluster bean ratio of the mixtures. Present findings revealed that improvements were achieved in DM, pH, nutritional traits and ME of the silages with mixtures of maize and cluster bean. It was concluded that 25, 50 and 75% maize ratios in mixtures provided significant contributions to silage quality.
Çalışmanın amacı farklı oranlarda karıştırılan sakız fasulyesi (CB) ve mısır (M) silajının fermentasyonu, besinsel özellikleri üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla mısır ve guar bitkileri kuru madde oranları esas alınarak beş farklı oranda 100%M, 75%M+25% CB, 50%M+50%CB, 25%M+75%CB and 100%CB) karıştırılmıştır. Karışım oranının incelenen tüm özellikler üzerine etkisi çok önemli çıkmıştır (p≤0.01). Araştırmadan elde edilen verilere göre karışımdaki mısır oranının artmasıyla kuru madde, ADF (asit deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), NDF (nötr deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), laktik asit ve etanol değerlerinde artış, pH değerinde azalma olmuştur. Karşımda sakız fasulyesi oranındaki artış ile silajın ham yağ, ham kül, ham protein oranları ile uçucu yağ oranlarında (asetik, bütirik ve propiyonik) artış gözlemlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda sakız fasulyesi ve mısır karışımı ile kuru madde, pH, besinsel özellikler ve metabolize edilebilir enerji gibi birçok konuda avantaj sağlandığı görülmüştür. Karışımda mısır oranının %25, %50 ve %75 oranlarda bulunması silaj kalitesi açısından önemli katkılar sağlamıştır.
Due to its versatile usage area, cluster bean is one of the crops on which many adaptation studies have been carried out in different countries in recent years. This research was conducted to ...determine selection criteria to increase the grain yield in the different locations of the Mediterranean climate in Turkey. The research was established in four different locations with nine cluster bean genotypes with three replications in a 9x10 rectangular lattice experimental design. Seventeen quantitative traits were examined. Correlation, factor, biplot, regression, and path analysis were used to create selection criteria to select genotypes with high grain yields in cluster beans. According to correlation analysis, there were positive and significant correlations between grain yield and number of pods per plant (NPP), the number of seeds per plant (NSP), grain yield per plant (GYP), number of clusters per plant (NCP), the 45th-day of plant height (45PH), 90th-day of plant height (90PH). Significant negative correlations were found between grain yield and pod width (WP), pod length (LP), and the number of grains per pod (NGP). According to the results of both factor and biplot analysis, seventeen traits were reduced to four factors, and factors explained 78.25% of the total variation. The most important factor group was composed of NPP, GY, NSP, NCP, and GYP with an explanation rate of 38.81%. Path analysis explained 76% of the grain yield. This method showed that the plant grain yield (P = 0.81) and the number of clusters in the plant (P = 0.25) had the highest direct effect on grain yield. Regression analysis results were also like path analysis. In the regression analysis were grain yield was the dependent variable, the plant grain yield (10.811) and the number of clusters in the plant (3.11) had the highest B value. The total disclosure rate of these two traits in Collinearity statistics was 93%. The results of all methods indicated that in the breeding programs to be established to increase the grain yield of cluster bean in the Mediterranean climate, selection on the seed yield of the plant and the number of pods in the cluster directly, according to the number of clusters in the plant indirectly will enable the breeders to reach their goals.
Sakız fasulyesi çok yönlü kullanım alanına sahip olmasından dolayı son yıllarda farklı ülkelerde en fazla adaptasyon çalışması yürütülen bitkilerdendir. Bu araştırma Akdeniz ikliminin hâkim olduğu Türkiye’nin farklı çevrelerinde sakız fasulyesinde tane verimini artırmak için seleksiyon kriteri oluşturmak amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırma 90 sakız fasulyesi genotipi ile 9x10 latis deneme deseninde 3 tekerrürlü olarak dört faklı çevrede kurulmuş, 17 adet kantitatif özellik incelenmiştir. Sakız fasulyesinde yüksek tane verimine sahip olan genotipleri seçebilmek için seleksiyon kriteri oluşturmak amacıyla, korelasyon, faktör, biplot, regresyon ve path analizleri kullanılmıştır. Korelasyon analizine göre tane verimi ile bitkide bakla sayısı (NPP), bitkide tane sayısı (NSP), bitkide tane verimi (GYP), bitkide küme sayısı (NCP), 45. gün bitki boyu (45PH), 90. gün bitki boyu (90PH) arasında olumlu ve önemli, tane verimi ile bakla eni (WP), bakla boyu (LP) ve baklada tane sayısı (NGP) arasında ise olumsuz önemli korelasyonlar tespit edilmiştir. Faktör ve biplot analizi sonuçlarına göre 17 adet özellik dört faktöre indirgenmiş, faktörler toplam varyasyonun % 78.25'ini açıklamıştır. En önemli faktör grubu %38.81’lik açıklama oranı ile NPP, GY, NSP, NCP ve GYP den oluşmuştur. Path analizi tane veriminin % 76 sını açıklamıştır. Bu yönteme göre tane verimi üzerine en yüksek doğrudan etkiye bitki tane verimi (P=0.81) ve bitkide küme sayısı (P=0.25) sahip olmuştur. Regresyon analizi sonuçları da path analizine benzer olmuştur. Tane veriminin bağımlı değişken olduğu regresyon analizinde en yüksek B değerine bitki tane verimi (10.811) ve bitkide küme sayısı (3.11) sahip olmuştur. Söz konusu iki özelliğin eş doğrusallık istatistikleri açıklama oranı toplamı % 93 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Tüm yöntemlerin sonuçlarına göre akdeniz ikliminin hüküm sürdüğü bölgelerde sakız fasulyesinde tane verimini artırmak amacıyla oluşturulacak ıslah programlarında öncelikle doğrudan bitki tane verimi ve bitkide küme sayısına göre dolaylı yönden ise kümede bakla sayısı üzerinden seleksiyon yapılması ıslahçıların hedefine ulaşmalarını sağlayacaktır.
The objective of national oat breeding program is to develop the oat varieties with high yielding, resistant to diseases, drought, cold, and heat stresses and suitable for different usages (food, ...feed, and forage). To achieve that goal, a total of 284 (232 lines + 52 checks) oat genotypes were tested under rain-fed conditions at the yield, advanced yield, and elite yield trials conducted between 2008 and 2012. During the consecutive oat breeding cycles, genotypes with high yielding and acceptable quality were promoted. Among the quality traits, protein content (PC), oil content (OC), and test weight (TW) were preferred as selection criteria. Heritability (H) and correlation coefficients were estimated for the GY and quality characteristics of the genotypes tested. While the H for GY was low (0.38), Hs for quality traits (PC, OC, and TW) were medium (0.66, 0.68, and 0.57, respectively). As for the correlations between the traits of interest, the statistically significant positive relationships were observed between GY and OC, GY and TW, and OC and TW. In contrast, statistically significant negative associations were measured between GY and PC, PC and OC, and PC and TW.
Negative relationships and low-medium H values calculated for the traits studied appear to be the most critical obstacles for national oat breeding program. To tackle these obstacles, the parents, i.e., gene pool, used in the oat crossing block should be characterized as soon as possible and enriched with introducing new exotic germplasm. We believe that by doing so, we can develop high yielding and high-quality oat varieties.
Milli yulaf ıslah programının amacı, yüksek verimli, hastalıklara, kurağa, soğuğa, yüksek sıcağa dayanıklı ve farklı kullanıma (gıda, tane yem ve kaba yem) uygun yeni çeşitler geliştirmektedir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için 2008 ile 2012 yılları arasında verim, bölge verim ve tescil ön denemesi kademelerinde toplam 284 yulaf genotipi (232 hat ve 52 standart çeşit) yağışa bağımlı şartlarda test edilmiştir. Ardışık yulaf ıslah döngülerinde, yüksek verimli ve kaliteli genotipler seçilmiştir. Kalite özellikleri arasında, protein oranı (PO), yağ oranı (YO) ve hektolitre ağırlığı (HA) seleksiyon kriteri olarak tercih edilmiştir. Kalıtım derecesi (H) ve korelasyon katsayıları test edilen genotiplerin tane verimi (TV) ve kalite özellikleri için hesaplanmıştır. TV için H değeri düşük (0.38) fakat kalite özellikleri için orta (sırasıyla 0.66, 0.68 ve 0.57) düzeyde tahmin edilmiştir. Özelliklerarası korelasyon katsayıları incelendiğinde TV ile YO arasında, TV ile HA arasında ve YO ile HA arasında pozitif, TV ile PO arasında, PO ile YO arasında, PO ile HA arasında ise negatif önemli korelasyon katsayıları belirlenmiştir.
İncelenen özellikler arasındaki olumsuz korelasyonlar ve düşük-orta H değerleri milli yulaf ıslah programının en önemli zorlukları olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu zorlukları aşmak için ivedilikle yulaf melez bahçesinde yer alan ebeveynlerin (gen havuzu) karakterize edilmesi ve yeni yulaf materyalinin (yurt içinden ve dışından) melez bahçesine katılarak gen havuzunun genişletilmesi önerilebilir. Bu şekilde yüksek verimli ve kaliteli yulaf çeşidi geliştirme olasılığı artırılabilir.
