Sağ kalçada ağrı yakınmasıyla başvuran 27 yaşındaki bir erkek hastanın manyetik rezonans görüntülemesinde, pelviste iliopsoas kası komşuluğunda büyük bir yumuşak doku kitlesi görüldü. Kan sayımında ...ileri derecede lökositoz saptanması üzerine periferik yayma yapıldı ve kronik miyeloid lösemi (KML) tanısı kondu. Pelvisteki kitle, KML zemininde gelişen granülositik sarkom olarak değerlendirildi. Kronik miyeloid lösemi gibi hematolojik hastalıkların granülositik sarkoma yol açarak kalça ağrısı ile kendini gösterebileceği unutulmamalıdır.
A 27-year-old male patient presented with right-sided hip
pain. Magnetic resonance imaging of the hip joint revealed
an extensive intrapelvic mass adjacent to the iliopsoas muscle.
Laboratory tests showed severe leukocytosis and a differential
WBC count enabled the diagnosis of chronic
myeloid leukemia (CML). The pelvic mass was then
assessed as granulocytic sarcoma developing from CML. It
should be kept in mind that the initial presenting feature of
hematological diseases such as CML may be hip pain arising
from CML-associated granulocytic sarcoma.
Bu araştırmada laser'in kınk tamirini hızlandırıcı etkisinin nedenleri arasında önemli bir yer olduğuna inandığımız prostoglandinlerin Laser'le olan ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla 16 tavşanın 32 ...fibulasında yapılan kırıklardan sonra çevre dokulardaki prostoglandin miktarı laserlerden ve kontrol grubu arasında araştırılmıştır.Sonuçlara göre laserlenen tarafta P.G. Artışı daha hızlı ve daha fazladır. Bulgular literatürde bu konuda kısıtlı çalışmalar ile karşılaştınmış ve aralarındaki ilişki irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır.

In cases of irreducible knee dislocation, all the medial joint structures have been reported to be the obstructing tissue. The case presented, the first in the English-language literature, is ...buttonholing of the femoral condyle through the vastus medialis muscle. Entrapment of the muscle bundle was diagnosed preoperatively using magnetic resonance imaging scans. The joint could be reduced easily, following sectioning of the muscle bundle.

Bu yazıda literatür bilgileri ışığında McBride amileyat endikasyonları ve sonuçları araştırılmıştır.
In this study, totally 163 feet have been examined in 92 cases with hallux valgus which were oparated upon in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the İstanbul Medical School during the years between 1966-1984. Mc Bride operation technique was applied in 16 of these cases, as a result of which took the second place with this number after the Keller operation procedure. In this report, attempts have been made to investigate the operative indications ond results of Mc Bride operation technique under the light of titerature.

Sağ omuz ağrısı ve sternoklavikuler eklem lateralinde şişlik ile başvuran 35 yaşında erkek hastada klavikula medial uç osteomyeliti saptandı ve cerrahi tedavi uygulandı. Ameliyat sırasında alınan ...materyalin patolojik tetkikinde osteomyelit bulguları saptandı, kültüründe ise Staphylococcus aureus üredi ve geniş spektrumlu antibiyoterapi ile tedavi sürdürüldü. Ameliyat sonrası yapılan bir yıllık klinik ve laboratuvar takiplerinde hastanın tamamen düzeldiği görüldü.
A thirty-five-year-old male patient presented with complaints of pain on his right shoulder and swelling in the right sternoclavicular joint. A diagnosis of medial clavicular osteomyelitis was made and he underwent surgery. Pathological examination of the intraoperative specimens suggested osteomyelitis and Staphylococcus aureus was cultured. A broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy was instituted. During a follow-up for a year, clinical and laboratory findings were normal.
This study reports the development of a new instrument measuring attitudes towards women managers (ATWoM). To test its reliability and validity data were collected from 456 Turkish employees from 23 ...organizations. Reliability and validitiy of ATWoM's final version were also tested with a separate sample comprised 312 students enrolled in junior-senior undergraduate and MBA programmes. ATWoM's psychometric properties were superior to one of the most widely used instruments measuring the same construct, Women as Managers Scale (WAMS). ATWoM was negatively correlated with traditional attitudes towards gender roles and positively correlated with respondents' report of quality in their interaction with women managers and general preference to work with women managers.
