The article contains a description of the informational structure of the sentence in its capacity as a layer of meaning constituted as an effect of its contextual updating. A complex phenomenon of a ...discursive nature, the informational structure of the utterance requires an interpretation of the facts of language by taking into account the interrelationship between the semantic, syntactic and discursive factors involved in the act of communication. The semantic-pragmatic specificity of the informational structure of the sentence is analysed starting from the extralinguistic factors that control it. Particular attention is paid to the distinctive features of the minimal units of this structure. The criteria for identifying the topic and the rhyme of a sentence are presented, with emphasis on the recognition of the units in question in the process of linguistic analysis. By examining this layer of meaning, our goal is to show that the Romanian language has a complex mechanism that allows its expression and variation in relation to other layers of meaning of the sentence.
The primary objective of this article is to establish and describe the discursive variants of the sentence representing its communicative paradigm. Constituted as a result of the adequacy of a ...sentence to communicative context, the discursive variants suppose, in linguistic terms, the variation of the informational structure of the sentence in relation to its semantic-syntactic structure. Described in terms of old/new information, the discursive variants are formed due to the operations involved in the discursive updating of the fundamental structures of the sentences, which are the thematisation and rhematisation of certain component elements of the sentence. The model that presents the sentence as a set of discursive variants combines semantic, syntactic and pragmatic or discursive criteria. Thus, in the process of analyzing these variants, the role of determining factors in the informational organization of the sentence was taken into account, these aspects being correlated with the marks of the informational structure of the sentence.
The purpose of the article is to present an analysis of parts of speech from the point of view of the interference between semantic features and their morphosyntactic behavior. The elucidation of the ...established relationships between the lexical meaning of words, on the one hand, and their grammatical categories and the syntactic functions with which they are used, on the other, requires the analysis of these entities from a functional perspective. Since the relationships between the mentioned features are revealed when the lexical units function in the structure of the statement, we could say that the research addresses the problem of the correlation between the three components of the statement, namely the lexical, morphological and syntactic components. Revealing the relationships between these components would allow overcoming the artificial separation between the levels of semantic and syntactic description, but also a better understanding of how the utterance is constituted and functions.
Starting from the concept of „fundamental structure of the utterance”, the article analyzes the semantic models of the utterances in the Romanian language. By applying this method, the whole variety ...of concrete utterances in speech can be presented in the form of a finite list of syntactic structures. In this way, the research pursues a double purpose: on the one hand, to describe semantically the fundamental structures of the utterances and, on the other hand, to make an inventory of the standard structures of the possible utterances in Romanian for their subsequent analysis in various ways.
The main objective of the article is to create a typology of verbs according to their semantic features. The most general features that define the verb are examined and described in terms of the ...three components of its functionalsemantic value: intension, extension and implication. At the same time, the study tries to reveal the relationship between the semantic structure of the verbs and their function in the sentence. Through this objective, he goes beyond the level of isolated words by analysing the manifestation of verbs in the structure of the statement. Considering the role of the verb in the constitution and functioning of the utterance, we should admit that the establishment of semantic features with relevance for their morphosyntactic behaviour could serve as an important factor for the functional-semantic description of utterances. In this way, the examination of the way in which the semantic categories are manifested in the syntactic plane would bring more light regarding the mechanism of the articulation of the semantic and syntactic levels in the act of communication.
