The cytoskeleton plays a key role in cellular proliferation, cell-shape maintenance and internal cellular organization. Cells are highly sensitive to changes in microgravity, which can induce ...alterations in the distribution of the cytoskeletal and cell proliferation. This study aimed to assess the effects of simulated microgravity (SMG) on the proliferation and expression of major cell cycle-related regulators and cytoskeletal proteins in human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hucMSCs). A WST-1 assay showed that the proliferation of SMG-exposed hucMSCs was lower than a control group. Furthermore, flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that the percentage of SMG-exposed hucMSCs in the G0/G1 phase was higher than the control group. A western blot analysis revealed there was a downregulation of cyclin A1 and A2 expression in SMG-exposed hucMSCs as well. The expression of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (cdk4) and 6 (cdk6) were also observed to be reduced in the SMG-exposed hucMSCs. The total nuclear intensity of SMG-exposed hucMSCs was also lower than the control group. However, there were no differences in the nuclear area or nuclear-shape value of hucMSCs from the SMG and control groups. A western blot and quantitative RT-PCR analysis showed that SMG-exposed hucMSCs experienced a downregulation of bata-actin and alpha-tubulin compared to the control group. SMG generated the reorganization of microtubules and microfilaments in hucMSCs. Our study supports the idea that the downregulation of major cell cycle-related proteins and cytoskeletal proteins results in the remodeling of the cytoskeleton and the proliferation of hucMSCs.

Although significant ...advances in the field of computer vision are made, advanced face recognition systems provide satisfactory performance only in controlled conditions. They deteriorate significantly in the face of real-world scenarios such as lighting conditions, motion blur, camera resolution, etc. This article shows how we design, implement, and conduct the empirical comparisons of machine learning open libraries in building attendance taking (AT) support systems using indoor security cameras called ATSS. Our trial system was deployed to record the appearances of 120 students in five classes who study on the third floor of FPT Polytechnic College building. Our design allows for flexible system scaling, and it is not only usable for a school but a generic attendance system with CCTV. The measurement results show that the accuracy is suitable for many different environments.

Population PK analysis was performed using Monolix 2019R1 and Monte Carlo simulations were conducted to determine the optimal dose regimen with respect to the attainment of 60% and 40%
T>MIC for ceftazidime and imipenem, respectively. A dosing algorithm was developed to identify optimal treatment doses.
Ceftazidime and imipenem PK was best described by a one-compartment population model with a volume of distribution and clearance of 23.7 L and 8.74 L/h for ceftazidime and 15.1 L and 7.88 L/h for imipenem, respectively. Cockcroft-Gault creatinine clearance represented a significant covariate affecting the clearance of both drugs. Increased doses with prolonged infusion were found to cover pathogens with reduced susceptibility.

The study aims to provide empirical evidence for a one-way relationship between corporate environmental responsibility (CER) and financial performance (FP) in the banking industry, with special ...consideration into the moderating role of legal regulations and ownership structures. Net interest margin (NIM), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) are selected to measure FP while the content analysis method is adopted to examine CER. The study used regression analysis with the two-step system generalised method of moments (Sys-GMM) on a sample of 29 Vietnamese commercial banks from 2012 to 2019, and the positive impacts of CER on banks' FP were identified. Analysis of these data revealed that listed banks have a higher level of information disclosure than unlisted banks, but the positive relationship between CER and FP is weaker in listed banks. Similarly, while state-owned banks have a higher degree of disclosure than privately-controlled banks, the relationship between their CER and FP is weaker. The paper also provides some recommendations and suggests future research implications.
Purpose: Glial fibrillary acidic protein serves as a biomarker indicative of astroglial injury, particularly following instances of severe traumatic brain injury. This study aims to evaluate ...variations in serum glial fibrillary acidic protein levels within the first 3 days and their correlation with outcomes in patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Subjects and methods: Thirty-nine patients with severe traumatic brain injury were enrolled in the study. Their blood samples were collected at six distinct time points: T 0 (upon admission), T 1 , T 2 , T 3 , T 4 , and T 5 (6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, and 72-h post-admission, respectively). The blood samples were run for the quantification of serum glial fibrillary acidic protein levels and other biochemical tests. All patients were closely watched and the outcomes at discharge were evaluated. Results: Glial fibrillary acidic protein levels tend to increase gradually from the time of admission to 48 h post-admission and then decrease at 72 h post-admission. Glial fibrillary acidic protein T 2 is correlated with Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score, lactate, Simplified Acute Physiology Score II score and outcome. Glial fibrillary acidic protein max correlated with lactate, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score, Simplified Acute Physiology Score II score, and outcome. Glasgow Coma Score at admission and glial fibrillary acidic protein T 2 (OR = 1.034; p = 0.025), T 3 (OR = 1.029; p = 0.046), T 4 (OR = 1.006; p = 0.032), T 5 (OR = 1.012; p = 0.048) and glial fibrillary acidic protein max (OR = 1.005; p = 0.010) were independent factors that have significant prognostic value in mortality in patients with severe traumatic brain injury. The predictive model in predicting mortality had the highest area under the curve based on glial fibrillary acidic protein T 2 and Glasgow Coma Score T 0 with an area under the curve of 0.904 and p < 0.001. In the multivariable regression model, glial fibrillary acidic protein max was associated with Glasgow score ( p < 0.001; VIF = 1.585), lactate T 0 ( p = 0.024; VIF = 1.163), Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score ( p = 0.037; VIF = 1.360), and Rotterdam score ( p = 0.044; VIF = 1.713). Conclusion: Glial fibrillary acidic protein levels tend to increase gradually from the time of admission to 48 h post-admission then decreases at 72 h post-admission. Glial fibrillary acidic protein T 2 , T 3 , T 4 , T 5 , and glial fibrillary acidic protein max were independent factors with significant prognostic mortality values in patients with severe traumatic brain injury.

; Lai Sind) and 1/2 Limousin, 1/2 Drought Master, and 1/2 Red Angus cattle during the growth (0 to 21 months) and fattening (22 to 25 months) periods were used to better understand variations on meat productivity and enteric methane emissions. Parameters were determined by the ruminant model. Four scenarios were developed: (HFS1) grazing from birth to slaughter on native grasses for approximately 10 h plus 1.5 kg dry matter/d (0.8% live weight LW) of a mixture of guinea grass (19%), cassava (43%) powder, cotton (23%) seed, and rice (15%) straw; (HFS2) growth period fed with elephant grass (1% of LW) plus supplementation (1.5% of LW) of rice bran (36%), maize (33%), and cassava (31%) meals; and HFS3 and HFS4 computed elephant grass, but concentrate supplementation reaching 2% and 1% of LW, respectively.
Results show that compared to HFS1, emissions (72.3±0.96 kg CH
/animal/life; least squares means± standard error of the mean) were 15%, 6%, and 23% lower (p<0.01) for the HFS2, HFS3, and HFS4, respectively. The predicted methane efficiencies (CO
eq) per kg of LW at slaughter (4.3±0.15), carcass weight (8.8±0.25 kg) and kg of edible protein (44.1±1.29) were also lower (p<0.05) in the HFS4. In particular, irrespective of the HSF, feed supply and ratio changes had a more positive impact on emission intensities when crossbred 1/2 Red Angus cattle were fed than in their crossbred counterparts.
Modest improvements on feeding practices and integrated modelling frameworks may offer potential trade-offs to respond to climate change in Vietnam.
In many countries, the Government enacts tax laws in order to manage tax collection and regulate the macro-economy. According to Noor, Jamaludin, Omar, and Aziz (2013), tax non-compliance is a ...growing concern because of its negative effects on the state budget. The main objectives of this article are to identify the factors affecting corporate income tax non-compliance of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City in accordance with the current situation of Vietnamese tax administration. We use several research methods, including the exploitation of information and practical experiences from both taxpayers and tax authorities; with Probit regression model on a sample of 187 enterprises that have been inspected or examined by tax authorities in Vietnam during the period from 2013 to 2017.The article identified eight factors affecting corporate income tax (CIT) non-compliance: (1) working capital/total assets; (2) revenue/total assets; (3) total debt/total assets; (4) loss in the previous year; (5) receivables/revenue; (6) the size of enterprises; (7) tax administrative penalties/tax payable; and (8) business field. In particular, the tax non-compliance was studied as a violation of Vietnamese tax laws by enterprises declaring an insufficient amount of CIT payable to the State budget.
The ATR-FTIR quantitation of azithromycin in three products of commercial tablets was carried out on product specific quantitative regression models using powdered paracetamol as matrix modifier to ...overcome the variation of spectral response and influence of sample matrix. For each product, a PLS quantitative regression model was established using training infrared spectra obtained from reference mixtures (reference powders with known mass content (%, w/w) of azithromycin mixed homogenously with paracetamol to have mass percentage of azithromycin over total mass of azithromycin and paracetamol (PA) from 30% to 70%). The spectral data were collected in wavenumber range depending on commercial product within the wavenumber zone from 1300 cm−1 to 1750 cm−1 to build quantitative regression models. To quantify azithromycin in any commercial batch of the same product, the homogenized sample powder was mixed with paracetamol to have mixtures with PA value about 50% to record infrared spectrum. The actual amount of azithromycin would then be calculated from spectral response of unknown sample and the pre-established quantitative regression model. Each quantitative regression model was validated according to the current requirements of ICH guideline Q2R1 and those of AOAC International in term of specificity, accuracy, precision, long-term robustness and reliability. The validation results proved that the quantitative regression models were accurate, precise, reliable and robust, able to provide quantitative results of azithromycin in tablets equivalent to those provided by official HPLC method of USP44.

A novel HPLC method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of potassium guaiacolsulfonate and sodium benzoate in pediatric oral powder. In this method, an analytical C8 column ...maintained at 25°C was used for chromatographic separation with a mixture of methanol and 0.02 M solution of tetrabutylammonium sulfate as the mobile phase. The composition of mobile phase was varied using a gradient program including an initial hold time of 7 minutes with methanol content maintained at 20% (v/v), followed by a linear gradient in 5.5 minutes in which methanol content was increased from 20% (v/v) to 50% (v/v) and a final hold time of 2.5 minutes with methanol content maintained at 20% (v/v). The total flow rate of mobile phase was maintained at 1.0 mL per minute. The UV detection was performed at 280 nm. Injection volume was set at 20 µl. The method was fully validated in terms of specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, and robustness according to requirements of current guidelines and was proved as reliable and suitable for the intended application.
