This study is of psychometric and instrumental design, aimed at examining the psychometric evidence of the CEVEIP school violence questionnaire in children aged 9 to 13 in Lima and Callao. It ...consists of 27 items and 3 dimensions: witnessed, perpetrated, and experienced situations. The instrument was administered virtually via a form, with 458 children participating in the final sample. Additionally, 10 expert judges were consulted, achieving a 100% agreement through Aiken's V. Explained variances of 68%, 63%, and 61% were obtained in the EFA through the indicators composing each dimension; in the CFA across the 3 dimensions, the obtained indices were CFI = .97, TLI = .96, GFI = .99, RMSEA = .04, and SRMR = .06, indicating acceptable values. Reliability assessed through ordinal alpha was higher and acceptable across the three dimensions, with values of .86, .82, and .79. Consequently, the CEVEIP questionnaire is valid and reliable for its application.
The Resilience Scale (RS-14) instrument assesses an individual's level of resilience when facing adverse life situations. This study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of the RS-14 in a ...sample of young adults from Lima and Callao, aged 18 to 29 years old. Initially, a statistical analysis of the items was conducted, revealing satisfactory normality criteria and discriminative capacity. Subsequently, validity evidence was obtained through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), demonstrating a good fit (χ²/df = 1.47, CFI = .94, TLI = .92, SRMR = .04, and RMSEA = .04). Finally, reliability was assessed using both Alpha and Omega coefficients, yielding values of α = .91 and ω = .92, respectively, considered acceptable. In conclusion, the RS-14 is considered a valid and reliable scale for future research endeavors in this domain.
The excessive use of smartphones has raised concerns about their impact on psychological and social well-being. This study developed and validated the Smartphone Addiction Scale (EAS - IC) in ...Peruvian adolescents. Three dimensions were examined: Smartphone Hobby, Frustration Tolerance, Interpersonal Relationships and Social Perception. A total of 1012 adolescents aged 13 to 17 years were included. Analyses showed that all items met homogeneity and validity criteria. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) indicated good fit for the original model and for gender groups. However, no overall factor was found, suggesting that the dimensions are independent. The alpha and omega coefficients showed good reliability for all dimensions and sex groups. The scale provides a valid and reliable tool to measure smartphone addiction in Peruvian adolescents, with direct scores and established percentiles. It highlights the importance of addressing this problem in the Peruvian context and adapting measurement tools to better understand its psychological and social implications. This study contributes to the development of instruments adapted to specific cultural contexts, addressing the need to better explore and understand smartphone addiction, especially among adolescents, a population vulnerable to its effects.
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito principal dar a conocer la verificación correlacional entre el clima social familiar y la inteligencia emocional en los estudiantes del Tercer Grado de ...Educación Secundaria de la Institución Educativa N° 5124 Ventanilla en el año 2016; por lo que, para tal fin se empleó el diseño no experimental en la que se contó con una muestra de estudio de 150 estudiantes. Asimismo, se debe tener en cuenta que la validación de instrumentos del presente trabajo, en el que se demostró su confiabilidad de las mismas, se realizó a través de Alfa de Cronbach, cuyo resultado fue de 0,973, llegando con lo dicho a comprobar o concluir la existencia de una buena correlación entre las variables de estudio, por lo que se afirma una buena asociación entre el clima social familiar y la inteligencia emocional en los estudiantes de la mencionada casa de estudios.
