Introdução: A hiperidrose primária é uma condição caracterizada pela excessiva produção de suor. É considerada uma disfunção crônica que atinge aproximadamente 1% da população mundial. Não possui ...origem conhecida, mas está ligada à hiperatividade do sistema nervoso simpático. Objetivo: Compreender, através da literatura, quais os impactos gerados pela hiperidrose no que se refere à qualidade de vida dos sujeitos acometidos e relacionar os aspectos da qualidade de vida com as ocupações dos mesmos, tendo o terapeuta ocupacional como possível membro integrante da equipe multiprofissional na atenção aos sujeitos comprometidos com hiperidrose. Método: Levantamento bibliográfico de publicações periódicas nas bases de dados BVS, Scielo e Google Acadêmico, artigos completos em português e espanhol. Resultados: Foram encontrados um total de 50 artigos, destes, 19 artigos permaneceram após a leitura na íntegra. A maioria dos relatos sobre a qualidade de vida dos sujeitos com hiperidrose é referida ou está atrelada a algum procedimento médico, sendo escassos estudos de outras áreas profissionais. Quanto à atuação terapêutica ocupacional junto à sujeitos com hiperidrose, não encontramos citações. Conclusão: O estudo demonstrou que os impactos gerados podem ser atribuídos às dificuldades no desempenho de atividades cotidianas, além de afetar aspectos emocionais dos sujeitos, interferindo em suas relações pessoais, na participação social e nas atividades de autocuidado. Sugere-se o desenvolvimento de pesquisas no âmbito da Terapia Ocupacional, para o fomento de debates que promovam aprimoramento técnico da profissão na assistência a pacientes com hiperidrose.Palavras-chave: Hiperidrose. Qualidade de Vida. Terapia Ocupacional. Atividades Cotidianas. Ocupações. Abstract Introduction: Primary hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive sweat production. It is considered a chronic dysfunction that affects approximately 1% of the world population. It has no known origin but is linked to hyperactivity of the sympathetic nervous system. Objective: To understand through the literature the impacts generated by hyperhidrosis about the quality of life of the affected and to relate the aspects of quality of life with their occupations, having the occupational therapist as a possible integral member of the multiprofessional team in dealing with problems committed to hyperhidrosis. Method: Bibliographic survey of periodical publications in the BVS, Scielo and Google Scholar databases, complete articles in Portuguese and Spanish. Results: A total of 50 articles were found, of these, 19 articles remained after reading them in full. Most reports on the quality of life of subjects with hyperhidrosis are referred to or linked to some medical procedure, with few studies from other professional areas. As for the occupational therapeutic performance with subjects with hyperhidrosis, we did not find any citations. Conclusion: The study demonstrated that the impacts generated can be attributed to difficulties in the performance of daily activities, in addition to affecting the emotional aspects of the subjects, interfering in their personal relationships, in social participation and in self-care activities. We suggest the development of research in the context of Occupational Therapy, to encourage debates that promote technical improvement of the profession in assisting patients with hyperhidrosis.Keywords: Hyperhidrosis. Conclusión: El estudio demostró que los impactos generados pueden atribuirse a dificultades en el desempeño de las actividades diarias, además de afectar los aspectos emocionales de los sujetos, interfiriendo en sus relaciones personales, participación social y actividades de autocuidado. Sugerimos el desarrollo de investigaciones en el contexto de la Terapia Ocupacional, para fomentar debates que promuevan la mejora técnica de la profesión en la asistencia a pacientes con hiperhidrosis.Palabras clave: Hiperhidrosis. The aim of the present study was to assess the very early neurobehavioral development of preterm infants and to examine differences regarding sex. Two-hundred and two preterm infants were assessed by ...the Neurobehavioral Assessment of the Preterm Infant (NAPI), which was carried out at 32-37 weeks post-conceptional age in the hospital setting. The infants' performance was compared to a norm-referenced sample and a comparison between groups regarding sex was also done. In comparison to the NAPI norm-reference, the preterm infants showed less muscular tonicity on the scarf sign, less vigor and spontaneous movement, higher alertness and orientation, weaker cry, and more sleep state. There was no statistical difference between males and females preterm infants at NAPI performances.

Performances in Portuguese of foreign choral music were a common practice in the city of São Paulo during the beginning of the 20th century until the 1960s. However, translated repertoire ...increasingly fell into disuse by the second half of the 20th century, currently constituting a repertoire that has been little discussed in studies of performance and interpretative practices in Brazil. In this context, this article is a critical discussion in respect to the presence of choral works translated to Portuguese in in 20th-century musical practices of Brazil, starting with performances in Portuguese of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Johannespassion BWV 245 conducted by Furio Franceschini and Martin Braunwieser in São Paulo between 1940 and 1960 decades. Referenced as field of research in the history of musical performance , our discussion is grounded on a set of documents related to the above-mentioned concerts and a bibliography composed by Mahraun (2016), Stauffer (1997), Goehr (1992) and Doyle (1980). Both bibliographical and documentary research show that the use of translations was an interpretative choice directly related to both the conductors’ own ideas of the piece, as well as the European performance traditions related to this repertoire and the political and cultural conjunctures in the local ambit. Ultimately, this article makes evident the presence of this repertoire in São Paulo, its historical importance, its artistic value and practical applications, despite a context of growing authority of the musical work on the musical practices of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Today, industries are increasingly concerned about the disposal of their waste. One of the proposed solutions to deal with certain wastes is through agriculture in the form of fertilizers. Thus, the ...objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of liquid tannery sludge as foliar fertilizer on the growth and physiology of passion fruit seedlings. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in a randomized block design with six replications. Six treatments were applied to leaves: tannery sludge diluted in water (132, 263, 395 and 527 mL L-1); only water (control); and the conventional treatment. The following growth characteristics were evaluated: leaf production, plant height, crown diameter, stem diameter, total fresh matter and dry matter of the plants. The physiological characteristics evaluated were the indices chlorophyll, nitrogen balance, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and plant color. The flavonoid index increased in plants that received foliar application of 527 mL L-1 without compromising the other characteristics evaluated. The doses 263, 395 and 527 mL L-1 showed the best results for the growth characteristics, equaling those of the conventional treatments. Foliar application of tannery sludge can be recommended for yellow passion fruit seedlings.
In the context of sustainable development, sustainable consumption arises from the interaction and complementarity of different social actors (stakeholders). This paper aims to identify the roles of ...different stakeholders who work towards introducing sustainable consumption in the electricity sector, taking into account its specific features. A qualitative approach is utilized for data collection, documentary research, questionnaires and interviews. The main results regarding social interactions demonstrate that the responsible actions taken by Companhia Elétrica de Pernambuco (CELPE) have promoted the development of sustainable consumption in the electricity sector. Thus, assuming a focus on CELPE's role, we discuss how the interactions took place between the large number of stakeholders interested in sustainable development. The research made clear that it is possible to stimulate sustainable consumption in the electricity sector and to bring stakeholders together to take effective action, not only in energy conservation, but on changing consumption patterns. Practical observation of the issues discussed demonstrates the originality and relevance that contributes to the discussion of sustainable consumption.
In Brazil, papaya is sustained by a narrow genetic basis, with few genetically distinct cultivars for planting.Therefore, this study aimed to select and estimate the direct and combined genetic gains ...for commercial fruit yield (Yld Plt-1 )in segregating generations of papaya. Six traits were simultaneously targeted in combined selection and were attributed weights associated to agronomic values. Direct selection however was based on Yld Plt-1 only. Results indicated genetic variability in the segregating generations for the evaluated traits and although combined selection achieved a lower genetic gain in Yld Plt-1, it offers greater chances of success in the following generations since favorable and unfavorable agronomic traits of papaya are considered. These results motivated the recommendation to advance generations with 30 plants, selected from a total of 345 plants, considering all segregating treatments
Abstract The capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) is a South American native rodent with an outstanding capacity to colonize urban environments. In Curitiba, a city worldwide known for its urban ...planning, the capybara adaptation comprises an interesting case to better understand the challenges in addressing Aichi targets at the local level. Specialized literature, official data and interviews indicate that this species is spreading throughout parks interconnected by rivers. This study illustrates an intricate relationship between capybaras and the urban socio-ecological environment, suggesting that the city only partially addresses Aichi targets. Local authorities are likely to face several challenges for adopting a global agenda on biodiversity. Producing robust knowledge on the urban biota is one fundamental step towards this goal.
Resumo Capivaras (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) são roedores nativos da América do Sul com notável capacidade de colonizar ambientes urbanos. Em Curitiba, cidade mundialmente conhecida pelo planejamento urbano, a adaptação desta espécie compreende um interessante caso para melhor compreender os desafios em abordar as Metas de Aichi no nível local. Evidências em literatura especializada, entrevistas e dados oficiais indicam que a espécie tem se expandido através dos parques conectados pelos rios. Esse estudo demonstra as intrincadas relações socioecológicas entre as capivaras e o ambiente urbano, as quais sugerem que a cidade considera apenas parcialmente as Metas de Aichi. As autoridades locais enfrentam grandes desafios para adotar a agenda global de biodiversidade. A produção de conhecimento robusto acerca da biota urbana compreende um passo essencial para alcançar tais objetivos.
