Celestina is linked to Terenceʼs works since its origins: not only did
contemporary readers identify it as a «terentian» work, but its earliest illustrated
editions are indebted to the Strasbourg: ...Johannes Grüninger, 1496 edition of Terence’s Comoediae. Going back to the manuscript models of the incunabula editions of Terence, in this article is discussed how the way Terence’s Comoediae
were illustrated in medieval and early modern Europe influences the way Celestina
was illustrated, which results in two characteristic iconographic programmes: the
Burgos and the Crombergerian one. Finally, it is suggested that printers choosing
one programme or another affects how they perceived and received both Terence’s
Comoediae and Celestina
By applying the same principles used in the first census of the surviving copies of the editions of Celestina in Spanish to the editions of its translations into European languages (Italian, German, ...French, Dutch, Neolatin and English) of the 16th to the 18th centuries, in this piece of work I record their online traceable surviving copies, as of the 1st of November 2021.

In a time in which libraries keep uploading new catalogues online and updating the old ones, in which regional union catalogues do not stop bringing to light and making accessible collections that, otherwise, would go unnoticed by researchers, in which digital catalogues and metacatalogues allow looking up several collections distributed all over the world at the same time, rediscovering copies of Celestina lost or not recorded until now should not surprise anyone. These special circumstances have caused that maintaining a complete and up-to-date census of surviving copies of Celestina requires revising the above mentioned digital resources periodically, with the purpose of adding new copies, confirming the existence of others, and correcting the potential phantom copies of the previous versions. This work aims to offer a starting point for a periodical revision of these sources by means of bringing together in writing and at the same place all the online traceable copies of editions in Spanish printed prior to its Inquisitorial prohibition, as of the 1st of November 2020.
Since its beginning in 2013, the online bibliographic database "Bibliografía celestinesca" (http://parnaseo.uv.es/RefBase) has become one of the most useful tools for the "Celestina" researchers of ...recent years. However, with its little more than two thousand entries, it is still far from the 3,707 of the bibliographic supplements of "Celestinesca." As the work of a single person, this database grows at an unequal pace, which does not prevent it, at present, from covering practically all of the "Celestina" criticism since the year 2000. But, as it does not depend directly or exclusively from the bibliographic repertoires of "Celestinesca," in these four years there has been a mismatch between the entries recorded by the online database and the magazine. Therefore, the purpose of this additional bibliographic document is to incorporate into the computation of bibliographic references of "Celestinesca," the slightly more than two hundred records of the database that the journal does not take into account.
