The changes in cultivated land and rural residential land and their interrelation are the most direct manifestation of land use transition in rural areas, which is an important basis to carry out rural land consolidation scientifically. This study constructs a conceptual model of rural land use transition and analyses the process characteristics and coupling relationship of land use transition between cultivated land and rural residential land in China in four periods from 1996 to 2016. Then, it puts forward response strategies for regional rural land consolidation. As the results show, an inverse trend between cultivated land and rural residential land, together with a certain degree of volatility demonstrated an inadequate transition in rural land use system. The types of cultivated land and rural residential land transition changed from single dominant to multiple equilibrium, but the main type of rural land use system in different stages was synchronous R negative linking. The spatial pattern of cultivated land and rural residential land transition is obviously unbalanced. The transition of rural land use system in the southeastern part of Hu Huanyong Line is active, where no transition model and process transition model play a dominant role. This area can be considered as priority for rural land consolidation in the future. Rural land consolidation should conform to the rules of land use transition, establish a multi-objective oriented regional differentiation strategy system, and promote the coordinated evolution of rural land use system.
In this paper, we present a robust global approach for point cloud registration from uniformly sampled points. Based on eigenvalues and normals computed from multiple scales, we design fast ...descriptors to extract local structures of these points. The eigenvalue-based descriptor is effective at finding seed matches with low precision using nearest neighbor search. Generally, recovering the transformation from matches with low precision is rather challenging. Therefore, we introduce a mechanism named correspondence propagation to aggregate each seed match into a set of numerous matches. With these sets of matches, multiple transformations between point clouds are computed. A quality function formulated from distance errors is used to identify the best transformation and fulfill a coarse alignment of the point clouds. Finally, we refine the alignment result with the trimmed iterative closest point algorithm. The proposed approach can be applied to register point clouds with significant or limited overlaps and small or large transformations. More encouragingly, it is rather efficient and very robust to noise. A comparison to traditional descriptor-based methods and other global algorithms demonstrates the fine performance of the proposed approach. We also show its promising application in large-scale reconstruction with the scans of two real scenes. In addition, the proposed approach can be used to register low-resolution point clouds captured by Kinect as well.

Sexual dysfunction (SD) is a disorder of sexual behavior and sexual sensation that appears ...as an abnormality or absence of sexual psychology and physiological reaction. It is a general term for many different symptoms includes several aspects, erectile dysfunction (ED), failure of sexual intercourse and loss of libido/desire. According to statistics, 52% of 40˜70 year old men suffer from varying degrees of SD. And these diseases caused by a variety of biological and psychological factors. In world about 15% of couples are affected by sexual disharmony among these 40 to 50% are because of male factors. Considering the sensitivity of male reproduction system, it is being easily affected by multiple risk factors, such as chronic diseases, environmental contaminants, drug toxicity and unhealthy lifestyle and so on. In the last few years, significant progress have been made toward understanding the various forms of male SD and the possible potential pathological mechanisms. However, for the time being, the exact cause of SD is not fully understood from the literature. What is also significant about there are quite limited treatments in reproductive medicine being directed against these lesions. The purpose of this review is to summarize the current findings of pathogenic factors of SD in clinical or animal studies, to elaborate the underlying mechanisms of these diseases from studies in vivo and in vitro, to analyses the risk factors, and to describe the management strategies traditionally recommended of male sexual dysfunction. The review findings elucidate a systematic strategies for effectively preventing these diseases.
Quercetin, a typical flavonoid, possesses diverse biochemical and physiological actions, including antiplatelet, estrogenic, and anti-inflammatory properties. This review mainly centers on recent ten ...years findings with respect to intervening diabetes and its complications with the well-known flavonoid quercetin. After a short introduction of quercetin, major in vitro and in vivo findings are summarized showing that quercetin is a promising molecule for the treatment of these diseases. Finally, we contemplate future development and application prospects of quercetin. Despite the wealth of in animal research results suggesting the anti-diabetic and its complications potential of quercetin, its efficacy in diabetic human subjects is yet to be explored. The problem may become an important direction in the future research.
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a major endocrine metabolic disease and is marked by a lack of insulin. The complication of DM is one of the most difficult problems in medicine. The initial translational ...studies revealed that growth factors have a major role in integrating tissue physiology and in embryology as well as in growth, maturation and tissue repair. In some tissues affected by diabetes, growth factors are induced by a relative deficit or excess. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a promising regulator of glucose and lipid metabolism with multiple beneficial effects including hypoglycemic and lipid-lowering. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a potent angiogenic and vascular permeability factor and is implicated in both of these complications in diabetes. Increase or decrease in the production of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) has been associated with diabetic nephropathy and retinopathy. The insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is a naturally-occurring single chain polypeptide which has been widely used in the treatment of diabetic glomerular and renal tubular injuries. This review summarizes the recent evidences for an involvement of growth factors in diabetic complications, focusing on their emergence in sequence of events leading to vascular complications or their potential therapeutic role in these diseases. Growth factor therapy in diabetic foot ulcers is already a clinical reality. As methods to finely regulate growth factors in a tissue and time-specific manner are further developed and tested, regulation of the growth factor to normal level in vivo may well become a therapy to prevent and treat diabetic complications.
Diabetes-associated male sexual dysfunction and fertility impairments are both common clinical complications with limited therapeutic options; hence it seriously affects the quality of life of the ...patients, in particular, the patients of reproductive age. Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) has long being believed to maintain and to promote reproductive functions in the traditional medical practice in China. The current study was to investigate if LBP may contribute to recovery of male sexual dysfunction and fertility impairments in diabetic individuals. The effects of LBP on sexual behaviors and histological changes of testis were studied in the type-1 diabetes male mice induced by intra-peritoneal (i.p.) injection of streptozotocin (STZ). After oral administration of LBP (10, 20 or 40 mg/kg), sildenafil citrate (SC, 5 mg/kg) or saline for 62 consecutive days, the typical abnormal changes in the sperm parameters, in relative weight of reproductive organs and in morphology of testis were observed in diabetic mice. LBP treatment of the diabetic mice considerably reversed those changes and Johnsen’s testicular score, serum testosterone (T), follicular stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) level were also increased to different degrees. Moreover, our data have also shown that a marked improvement in sexual behavior and fertility level after administration of LBP (40 mg/kg) compared to the diabetic group. These results suggested that LBP can exert functional recovery of male sexual dysfunction and fertility damages induced by diabetes in male mice, which is likely to be mediated through regulating the hypothalamus- pituitary-gonadal axis endocrine activity.
Fault diagnosis is a novel technology crucial for monitoring the proper functioning and ensuring the stability of mechanical devices and components. Nevertheless, most existing data‐driven methods ...for rolling bearing fault diagnosis exhibit limited diagnostic capabilities in scenarios characterized by noise interference and inadequate training data. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel intelligent fault diagnosis method for rolling bearings based on Capsule Network with Fast Routing algorithm (FCN). Firstly, the vibration signal is transformed into a time‐frequency map through continuous wavelet transform (CWT), and the transformed time‐frequency map is input into the network model to enable the network to learn features more fully. Subsequently, this paper introduces FCNs into capsule networks, effectively mitigating the extended training times typically associated with capsule networks and reducing the demands on training equipment. Extensive experiments are conducted utilizing two distinct bearing datasets to assess the method's stability and generalization. The results of these experiments demonstrate the proposed approach's ability to maintain robust fault diagnosis capabilities, even in the presence of noise interference and limited training data. This innovative method lays the foundation for intelligent rolling bearing diagnosis and is readily adaptable to other rotating components.
Accurate retrieval of land surface temperature (LST) over urban areas is of great significance for urban thermal environment monitoring. In previous studies, most of the urban LST retrieval methods ...were developed based on the assumption of a flat surface without considering the influence of urban 3-D geometry structure, which has a significant impact on the retrieval accuracy of LST over urban areas. In this study, a radiative transfer equation (RTE)-based single-channel method was developed to retrieve LST with urban geometry effect correction from the Landsat 8 thermal infrared (TIR) data in band 10. The increase in adjacent radiance from the surrounding pixels and the decrease in atmospheric downwelling radiance caused by urban geometry structure were taken into account in this method. Because it is difficult to directly validate the retrieval accuracy of LST over urban areas using in situ LST measurements, the performance of the RTE-based LST retrieval method was evaluated via comparing brightness temperature (BT) at the top of the atmosphere (TOA) simulated by the discrete anisotropic radiative transfer (DART) model and the urban RTE over three subregions. There is a good agreement between BT at the TOA simulated by the DART model and the urban RTE, with a root-mean-squared error (RMSE) of less than 0.25 K. The variations in LST retrieved with urban geometry effect correction over different local climate zones (LCZs) were analyzed. In general, built-up LCZs have relatively higher LST than land cover LCZs. The differences between LST retrieved without/with urban geometry effect correction over different LCZs are greater than 0.2 K. The largest average LST difference over built-up LCZs is approximately 0.9 K, whereas that over land cover LCZs is approximately 0.65 K. LST retrieved without/with urban geometry effect correction was used to calculate urban heat island intensity (UHII) in terms of the LCZ-based method. The results indicate that UHII calculated from LST with urban geometry effect correction is lower than that calculated from LST without urban geometry effect correction, with an average difference of approximately 0.5 K.
This study investigated the effects of xylooligosaccharide (XOS) supplementation on growth, intestinal enzyme, antioxidant and immune‐related genes in common carp Cyprinus carpio fed a high‐fat diet ...(HFD). One hundred and ninety two fish with an initial weight of 19.61 ± 0.96 g were allocated into 24 tanks (eight fish per tank in four replicate) and were fed the control diet, HFD, HFD with 0.5%, 1%, 2% and 3% XOS supplementation. From the result, fish offered HFD with 1% XOS supplementation significantly obtained a higher body mass index and feed efficiency ratio, whereas condition factor was higher in fish fed HFD supplemented with 2% XOS but no difference was attributed to other supplemented group compared to control group. Also, fish fed HFD supplemented with 1%–2% XOS significantly improved protease, lipase, creatine kinase and sodium/potassium ATPase activities compared to other groups. Fish offered HFD were significantly lower in superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPX), myeloperoxidase, acid phosphatase, lysozyme activities and immunoglobulin content, but the opposite result was found for aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase activities, malondialdehyde, protein carbonyl and cortisol content as compared with the control. However, this effect was reversed with HFD supplemented with XOS. Also, interleukin 1β, interleukin 8, tumour necrosis factors, interferons, caspase‐3 and caspase‐9 in the intestine were all up‐regulated in the HFD group, while the reverse pattern was found in SOD, GPX, lysozyme‐C, complement 3 and mucin 5b (muc5b), than the control group. These effects were all enhanced by feeding the XOS diet, especially those fed 1%–3% supplementation. In conclusion, XOS inclusion can improve the growth, digestive enzymes, antioxidants and immune response of common carp fed HFD.
Highly porous Si3N4 ceramics with bimodal pore structure were prepared by the extrusion processing with petroleum coke of 30 μm as pore‐maker. The microstructure, mechanical strength, and gas ...permeability were investigated. The microstructure with petroleum coke contained not only numerous fine pores by interlocking the high aspect ratio β‐Si3N4 grains, but also some large pores of 15‐25 μm left by the burnout of petroleum coke. The resultant samples obtained an improved gas permeability of 1.2 × 10−12 m2, which is approximately two times that of samples without petroleum coke addition. Furthermore, the mechanical strength is still superior even at a porosity of 67% in comparison with the other porous ceramics used in the current diesel particulate filter.
