Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic auto antibodies are directed against antigens in the neutrophil granules. Their detection by the indirect immunofluorescence clearly divides them into two distinct types, ...namely c-ANCA (Classical antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody) and the p-ANCA (Perinuclear antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody). These antibodies have been found to be useful as non-invasive markers to help establish the diagnosis in patients with systemic vasculitides. The antibodies also help in monitoring disease activity in some patients with systemic necrotising vasculitides. This study was aimed at demonstrating the utility of these auto-antibodies in the management of our patients presenting with systemic vasculitides. Fifty-six patients presenting with features of systemic vasculitides were examined over a six month period out of whom eight were found positive for these antibodies. The detection of these antibodies helped in early diagnosis and the institution of specific treatment. Six months follow-up in one patient with Wegener's granulomatosis, the disease activity related closely with the ANCA levels.
Biotic systems face immense environmental hazards such as accumulation of heavy metals, particularly in agricultural ecosystems that might cause deterioration of yield and quality of crops. In this ...study, we evaluated the role of silicon (Si) in alleviating the heavy metal (Cd) stress tolerance in cotton by analyzing the induced Physio-chemical changes. Cotton plants were grown in hydroponic culture with three different Cd levels (0, 1 and 5μM) along with two Si treatment levels (0 and 1mM). The data showed that Cd alone reduced the plant growth as well as the efficiency of antioxidant activity as compared to control plants. Plant growth, gas exchange characteristics (net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, water use efficiency) chlorophyll contents, and carotenoids as well as the performance of antioxidant enzymes were improved by the exogenous application of Si. The adverse effects of Cd on plant growth were alleviated by the exogenous application of Si. It was observed that Si effectively mitigated the adverse effects of Cd on cotton plants and markedly enhanced the growth, biomass and photosynthetic parameters while decreased the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and electrolytic leakage (EL). The antioxidant enzyme activities in cotton leaves and roots increased significantly, when Si was added to control as well as Cd stressed plants. In conclusion, Si improved the growth and photosynthesis attributes of cotton plants by mitigating the adverse effects of Cd stress through reduced EL, MDA and H2O2 contents and improved activities of antioxidant enzymes.
•Si application alleviated Cd toxicity in cotton plants.•Cd stress caused oxidative stress inboth leaves and roots.•Exogenous Si alleviated oxidative stress and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity.•Si decreased the uptake of Cd in cotton plants.•Si could be a candidate for Cd detoxification in cotton.

•Biofuels persuading the CO2 emissions / circular economy.•Investigate the relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions by green energy projects.•Green energy projects ...decrease CO2 emissions while other energy projects increase CO2 emissions.•Panel co-reconciliation test verifies significance of long-run equilibrium correlation in their relationships.
Green energy projects (including wind, solar, biomass, hydro projects) are the major constituents of biofuel projects and primary need of global world which are directly concerned with economic growth and gross domestic products (GDP) development. In last few decades, fossil fuel consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emission have been increased due to more economic growth and growing population. Moreover, the objective of this research is to assess the consequence of biofuel including natural gas, environmentally friendly power projects (renewable-energy), and thermal power utilization on financial turn of events including GDP and CO2 in ten top countries. Multivariate climate countries with ubiquitous CO2 emission during the period of 1990–2018 were selected to examine the long-run flexibility as well as the path of causality between different variables, the panel co-integration test, panel heterogonous Dumitrescu and Hurlin causality evaluation and panel completely modified ordinary least squares were employed. The panel co-reconciliation test verify that variables have a long-run equilibrium correlation in their relationships. Long haul versatility and causality tests show that natural gas doesn't add to financial development or CO2 decreases. According to this present study, results can help to develop conservative policies regarding long-run and sustainable energy and design in energy development.
The usage of enterprise social media (ESM) has rapidly increased in the workplace. Firms adopt the ESM platform for the knowledge sharing and work-related communication of employees. However, the ...efficient use of the ESM technology in the workplace remains a challenge for organizations and business leaders. Previous studies have inconsiderably focused on this domain of research. The existing research investigates the influence of ESM usage on employee agility through meta-knowledge considering the moderation role of digital fluency. Using 263 responses from Chinese employees, this study investigates how ESM usage improves employee agility through meta-knowledge. Results confirm that organizations can improve the meta-knowledge of employees through investment in the ESM technology and that ESM usage is significantly related to individual agility via meta-knowledge. Digital fluency strengthens the relationship between ESM usage and employee agility and supports the correlation between ESM usage and employee agility via meta-knowledge. Finally, on the basis of the results, the theoretical and managerial implications of the study are discussed.
The study is based on validating and exploring the effects of a mega project plan (CPEC) on infrastructure development and Sustainable Project Management. The CPEC has great importance to ...infrastructure development and economy-boosting. The current study's primary aim is to deal with environmental protection, economic boost up, international relations influencing to the Project's success. The paper also addressed project management as a moderator between environmental protection, economic boost up, international relations, and the CPEC project's success. The primary data has been gathered by using questionnaires, and PLS-SEM has been employed for the analysis. The results revealed that environmental protection, economy boost up, and international relations have a positive association with the success of CPEC. The outcomes also exposed that project management moderating among the nexus of economy boosts up the international relations and success of CPEC. The present study results guided how Pakistan and China make the CPEC project stronger with the efficient implementation of practices required for protecting the environment, with the economic growth and boost up, and good strong relations with foreign countries. This study was an attempt to validate the different factors to check their association with each other in a new environment, resulting in a leading edge for the success of mega projects that influence project management.
The quinolinyl chalcones series (A

) were screened for antimalarial activity. According to in vitro antimalarial studies, many quinolinyl chalcones are potentially active against CQ-sensitive ...and resistance
P. falciparum
strains with no toxicity against Vero cell lines. The most active quinolinyl chalcones A

–heme complex with − 25 kcal/mole binding energy and also showed strong π–π interaction at 3.5 Å. Thus, the stable A

–heme complex formation suggested that these quinolinyl chalcones act as a blocker for heme polymerization. The docking results of quinolinyl chalcones with Pf-DHFR showed that the halogenated benzene part of quinolinyl chalcones made strong interaction with Pf-DHFR as compared to quinoline part. A strong A

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to extend the existing literature on knowledge management, which generally focuses on knowledge sharing. The model of this article explains how knowledge creation ...and team performance can be increased through the integration of social and technological factorsDesign/methodology/approachTo empirically test the model, multi-wave and multi-source data were collected from 80 teams whose members use social media as a tool for communication and interaction.FindingsThe analysis results provide insights into some interesting findings. The results show transactive memory system (TMS) as an important factor that can significantly contribute to knowledge creation in teams. Especially, the TMS strengthens the significant positive effect of enterprise social media (ESM) and insignificant positive effect of knowledge complementarity on knowledge creation. Furthermore, knowledge creation is found to be a significant predictor of team performanceOriginality/valueMuch of the knowledge management literature focuses on the ways to increase the quantity of accessible knowledge to organization members. Such knowledge management studies are more relevant to knowledge exchange among individual employees, teams and organizations. However, this study takes a nuanced approach to explore how knowledge creation can be increased in teams by implementing a knowledge integration mechanism. A general model of knowledge creation is proposed, but the strength of this model lies in the moderating effect of TMS which strengthens the effect of knowledge complementarity and ESM on knowledge creation in teams which eventually increases team performance.
The intention of this research is to analyze the actual use of educational app by Chinese students for learning purpose. Based on DeLone & McLean (D&M) this study proposes and tests a research model ...which analyzes the actual use of educational apps using data collected from the 357 Chinese students. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to examine the hypothesis. Findings specify that information quality, system quality, service quality, mobile self-efficacy, and personal innovativeness is considerably associated to intentions to use educational app which eventually influences actual usage of educational apps. Additionally, trust in educational apps strengthens the connection between intentions to use educational apps and actual use of educational apps by students for learning purposes. However, the perceived risk indicated an insignificant association between intention to use educational apps and actual use of educational apps. This study contributes to DeLone & McLean (D&M) model by examing the moderating role of perceived risk, trust in an educational app.
